Another how to make.. M Schulz sound

Ok now lets see if someone can recreate some of Markus Schulz sounds like this one : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/TranceDevot...lzClearBlue.mp3 (the original)

My try : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/TranceDevot...arBlueSound.mp3

NOt bad but you should EQ your sound... Adding like 4db in the 4000Hz Frequencies to have a brighter sound. This is very important to keep the attack of this kind of sound. This is a soft sound with a short attack and you have to maximize the impact of the attack with the EQ.

it would be interesting if you could post some of the main settings to recreate this sound..

Sounds like some cromatic percussion instrument. FM synths are good for that, and im pretty sure such sound can pretty much be recreated with FM7 or the like.

The original sounds has some bright timpre in it that I can't get playing on with your standard VA no matter what I do.

Posted by everyMan on May-01-2005 16:25:

Don't you think theses sounds can be two samples of a flute and a percution?
Anyway the VStation presets for those who wanted them :
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/TranceDevot...lzClearBlue.fxp
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/TranceDevot...SchulzLargo.fxp

I used an external equalizer, reverb and compressor for clear blue

For sure! I already heard the entire remix wich was really nice, entrancing atmosphere.

@ nec : wich bass do you talk about ? the Hoover behind the samples ?

clear blue

If you want to pinch that sound from the Clear Blue riff., There's a preset on the Pro-53, kinda pluckey sound, stick a shed load of reverb and a pinch of delay on and there you go.
