Review: DJ Dan @ Aria

OH MY GOD. Awesome. Amazing. The night started out at Funken's sweet house for a little pre-party, and let me tell you, Louis is a funken little good DJ. Keep it up man I was pretty much drunk most of the night and trying to pick up chicks on the street with Malek la pute negre du sud to get them to go up to Louis' house, but to no avail. Probably because Malek was standing next to me

Anyway, off to Aria, and WOW. BEST SET I'VE EVER HEARD AT ARIA. PERIOD. KILLED ME. Dancing the entire night, jumping up and down. Absolutely awesome. Too tired to go into detail, so I'll let others talk about tracks and so forth, but I'd just like to shout-out to all the TAs that made if for the night: Taha, Malek, Alec, Louis, Wisnia, Monika, Deluca, Blinkme. You guys were awesome and made the party happen. Seriously, great partying with you guys!! We'll do it again soon!!

DJ Dan is officially a funky tech-house God. I bow down. Goo'night.

I think shawn05 is going to cry when he reads this ...

how was malek there and I missed him?

The last 2-3 times I went to Aria was for resident nights....which are great dont get me wrong, but it was nothing compared to last night with the brilliant DjDan!!!!

So me, wisnia, deluca&his gf Rachy and our friend Rami started off the night at Louis' place where I finally got to meet a bunch of u guys: Epicirus, Fastmp3, Alec, Nick Pilon...gosh I'm braindead right now...All I have to say is you guys are awesome!!! I had such a blast dancing with u guys...us MTLTA's really are a cool bunch I must say

Unfortunately we didnt get to enjoy much of Louis' djing skills because we had to drive back and forth to my house twice due to my forgetfullness oops...

Soooo then we all meet inside Aria with everyone...Malek, Blinckme, Ace_V...and O M G I just dont know what to say when it comes to DjDan...This was definately my favorite night at Aria in a loooonnggg time!! He played too many great tracks!! When I got in he was playing a lot of tracks off of Sander's This is everybody too compilation such as Sander K's - the fruit, spektrun - kinda new(tiefshwars mix)....and then he ended with that telephone track!!! this track has been driving me insane I keep hearing it in my head I must get my hands on it!!

By the way Taha what is the name of the track I asked you to ID?? I hope you remember

So anyway I enjoyed every second of the night...even saying goodbye when I was leaving

ok but now PLEASE....someone send me that telephone track!!!
Is it possible that it was played twice??

Wow, simply amazing night (Dj Dan does it again)!!!

Ok so me Monika, Deluca, Deluca's girl Rachie, and our friend Rami decided to meet up at Misho's place at around 9-10. We went to Funken's place and there he was laying down some serious funk. This guy has talent guys so watch out. Was cool that this pre-party took place because we got to meet a few TA's that i havent met yet, and this really did add lots of fun to the party (you guys know who u are ). There nothing better then dancing with a big group of friends, especially to funky house .

As monika said before, we had to have a few roadtrips back and forth from downtown to nuns island and back, however, for some reason they were super fun hehe. I guess it was the before party hype!!!

We got to Aria at around 3:30? (not too sure), and the lineup wasn't that bad. I was on the dancefloor from the time Dan got on, till around 8ish. It was probably one of the most amazing night of this style ever. (now I understand a bit more why louis is all funky ) After Dan got off, i talked to him for a second, and I told him that i was speechless . He replied by saying that it wasn't because of him, but because of the people, and the vibe. Which is partially, true. Montreal is such a great city and its because of all the amazing people in this scene.

As for my little group, Mon, a party is never the same without you
, and Deluca, shaiit we know how to party. Misho, Kane, mmx, too bad you guys couldnt show up, would have been even better.

the pre-party was chillen (even though we were poppin in n out) blame MVB for that haha jk. We had some crew members who were M.I.A. which was kinda weird (next time guys.) We met some cool MOFOing TA's (the pleasure was all mine ). Along wit the regulars (always pimpin it hard.) Rach had such a good time i think it's safe to call her "one of us."

i would like to thank every single person i met, you guys are the best (awwwww i feel i'm in a TOTA review now) seriously you guys are the party enhancers. too bad for those who couldn't make it, you have missed one heck of a party night.

Monika i know the track, if i still remember it's on deep dish last year's essential mix, lemme grab the set again and i'll tell you which one it is exactly. Dan played too Infusion - Do To You (in 1982)

I had a GREAT time!

Dan was wicked as expected.. not my fav. Dan set in recent memory, but I liked his set.. especially when he dabbled in techno a bit.

Good crowd and it was nice to party with the visiting Toronto-Ottawa-Vermont crews.. soooo many Ottawa people that night!!
It was also about time I met ma Torontah Tekno Sistah....
Hope you guys all had a safe trip back Sarah!
