Exclamation Marcel Woods (2005)

Marcel Woods disapointed me this year with his potentially massive collaboration with Jesselyn. Both Marcel Woods and Jesselyn are great Tech-Trance producers (IMO) and the thought of them together was really exciting but both "Flora" and "Fauna" turned out rather unimpressive.

All this changed once I heard Tiesto spin Marcel Woods "Advanced" at an award show. I was AMAZED with how addictive that song was. So after hearing that I went to Marcel Woods' website (www.marcelwoods.com) and listened to all of his new solo stuff he is planning to release this year, which includes:

"Advanced"
"Cherry Blossom"
"Beautiful Mind"

After hearing those I about died. All of them are damn good and addictive tunes. "Advanced" and the vocal monster "Beautiful Mind" are by far my favorite so far. I'm so glad that Tech-Trance is continuing it's greatness and that Marcel Woods is back to impressing me and the crowds.

Bascially I'm starting this thread as a 2005 Marcel Woods appreciation thread and to see who else out there here at TA is looking forward to a great year of production with Mr. Marcel Woods.

Double Unit - Size Doesn't Matter/Something

LOVE IT. Perfect for me as I love that hard, bangin' sound. Also a big fan of Flora & Fauna.

I'm def going to check out those new tunes you mentioned on his site.

Re: Marcel Woods (2005)

Just heard his remix of Greece 2000 and it's probably the worst track I've heard. Was expecting so much more after his remix of are you a freak and of course time's running out.

I've heard all of those but Beautiful Mind and they all sounded good to me, except for Advanced which sucked ass. Flora is a great track, Fauna took a little longer to catch my attention. Cherry Blossom is just plain cool.

There's a new interview with him, interesting read.

Dutch version

Right Click and save as HERE to download the english version.

The Greece 2000 remix is crap, but all the new tracks are Massive.

i woudl hardly call most of what he makes/plays tech trance anymore. its more like some bastardised version of electro with a techy beat. its all funky electroey leads like what klitzing has adopted.

its tech yeh, but not really trance.

its annoying, because i used to like what he made/played, and he has gone down the funky-tech route with a few other djs, its either that or play every single spinnin/sam sharp tune which comes out to be classed as "tech trance".

I have to agree with you that the 3 new tracks aren't really tech-trance, do you know some good recent tech-trance maybe?
