how are you hearing tracks before release?

Im seeing all these posts about ASOT. First of all...what is ASOT? how do you hear about tracks like....motorcycle - around you before it even comes out?

asot = a state of trance, its armin van buuren's weekly radio show, which he plays the latest hits in trance...the first hour (i think) is dedicated to playing new tunes, so thats where u hear them

i get promos before they are released to review most of the time, so that's how I hear it but who gives a crap when a song is released, as long as it rocks. Heck I'm still canning tunes from 1997.

You can listen to DJ sets first of all. Then you have radioshows all over the planet with the newest tunes... Like A State of Trance (ASOT) by Armin van Buuren, every thursday at 20.00 (dutch time). Then there's websites that sell vinyl and let's you hear previews.. And THEN there's P2P (like Direct connect, etc.) and Bittorrent, but I ain't pointing you nowhere for that.

you can use p2p netwroks like dc++ and shit, but then if you like it make sure to buy it. you dont have to get vinyls though, you can go to websites like beatport or audiojelly and buy mp3s from them, for like a dollar or 2, besides makes you feel better you support an artist you like

Radio Shows on www.etn.fm, which has grown massively with some big name resident mixes now every week.

www.di.fm for Armins ASOT show and Markus's show, and Pauls Fritz show too, although he only showcases a minimal amount of new material.

Label sites offer track previews too.

anyway get off your lazy butt to a record store, pull 100 records, piss the people that work there off.

And go down threw everything then spend $100 on the vinyls you like, and do that every week.

I've listened to digitally imported for a while now and didnt now that ASOT played there. Does it play on the regular "Trance" playlist section? What time is 20.00 dutch time here in the states? Perferably central time.
