[techno] Pjotr G vs. Jay Rico - Funky Dust

Hey,

Me and the man Jay sat down once again to make another track.

http://www.whiteroachproductions.nl..._Funky_Dust.mp3

It's a funky techno track, with a blast from the past. You'll see what we mean

We'd love to hear your opinions!

Greets PJ & Jay

cool stuff, really like the bassline, very funky
i'm not a big fan of those types of snares hitting before the 2nd or 4th beat, it reminds me of that shit techno tiesto plays

fun sampling, it's not like the Stardust tune didn't steal that sample from some old tune anyway

cool production from you guys! i like it a lot ! nothing to complain about! great use of the samples as haak already mentionend...

i like this one a lot!
=> moved to music folder!

Techno is maybe the only thing i lack the imagination to make.

I really like stardust, graet catchy tune.

i quite like this. good bass (y)

cool production. lovely percussion and bassline..

great job

very nice creative usage of the samples and lines
very upbeat
dont see any reason why i wouldnt bump into this at juno (except for the samples ofcourse )

wouldnt play it cause its exactly the opposite groove to the kinds i play, plus, its a bit too fast for me.

send this to liebing and clarke though, sounds like something they'll be happy to spin

good work

At the moment your productions are one of the best I have heard this year! Keep up the good work ..

Maybee im tripping, but after another listen, i can hear a midi click in their, haha. 1st beat on every 4 is well sharper, like a Reason midi cliCK infact.

love'n it!!!

Not much criticism here.....sounds really pro.
not a huge fan of the vocals, but amazing track none the less.
good work

ehh well, my midi doesn't click, it just sends non-audio data. And I don't use reason. And I don't really hear what you mean

While listening:

Uplifting start, I like. Nice powerful kick. *moves head on the beat*
I'd call this a techy mash up, cause that's what it is...

This must work very well on the dancefloor. Good stuff!

yes, very blast from the past trance/techy remix, the bassline is hard, would like to hear it in a club environment... great percussion a bit hard for my taste, but great quality remix nonetheless.

Ey!! I sense Phat Small!!! HAHA wicked job sir...

I think you should find a better snare sample, I dig the vocal and P&S work you slapped in, other than that producing is top notch (y)!

Posted by Pjotr G on May-05-2005 09:12:

stardust, not phats & small!

Posted by Leon on May-05-2005 09:42:

Yea, right there :> Knew I recognized it from somewhere
