Talking New Hard Trance Set! - DJ Horus

Ok, ok, I'm still here, I just had a couple of rough weeks as far as school is concerned. For those of you that don't know me personally, I play a college student majoring in Biology and Mathematics in my "spare" time ;-). Anyways, things are back to normal, and I have a new set. This week, we're going to enjoy a bit of hard trance. The set can be found in the usual place.

Trance Set #5 (1:17:27)

01. A*S*Y*S - No More Fucking Rock & Roll (Original Mix)
02. Paul van Dyk - Out There
03. Free State - Release (Dirt Devils Rumpus Dub Mix)
04. Grahm Gold - Double A
05. Kan Cold vs. A*S*Y*S - Transmission
06. Haak - Bedlam
07. Gavyn Mitchell pr. Mnemonic - Insurrection
08. John "00" Fleming - Le Voyage (Part 2)
09. DJ Danjo & Rob Styles - On the Verge
10. Beetseekers - Walk of Notes (Digital Blonde Remix)
11. Leben - Dimension
12. BT - Flaming June (BT & PVD Mix)

This is what happens when you get a stressed out college student in the middle of finals. No delicate melodies, no soulful divas. I open the set with a song whose famous remix has been making the rounds for several months. I really liked the contrast between the death metal guitar and the sample from The Prodgy's "Voodoo People". Nice contrast there.

Other favorites here include "Free State", "Transmission", "Le Voyage", "On the Verge" and of course, "Flaming June". If I had to pick a favorite song of all time, "Flaming June" would be it. I remember listening to it when I was rather young off of this run down internet cd shop called "X-Radio", and was like incredible impressed with BT's work. The contrasting hard and melodic parts make it a great way to end this set gracefully. This past NYE, I was able to see BT live, and yes, he played "Flaming June" at midnight. It was rather incredible to be honest.

Anyways, see you all next week, and any comments are appreciated!

To be honest, that's some of his harder stuff.

In general, by hard trance, I meant harder than my normal stuff. Besides, it was early int he set, and I was getting harder as I went along.
