did anyone every try this

bring their own mix or a trance tune via cd to a club and ask the DJ to play it. I though of doing that before because sometimes, the dj'z I hear don't cut it when it comes to trance.

Can be vynil also

Might play a tune of yours but even then it'd need to be good. But you might get lucky and he'd try it out to see what the reaction is if your in a place he doesn't play often or in otherwords won't be playing again.
