Skips in movies

It isn't my computer because I just watched a whole TV series but for some reason telesynced SVCD audio skips every few seconds. The video is fine, does anyone else have this problem? I use VLC media player.

I've been going to that website for years thanks but it's only these types of movies and it's only happened on two of them so it's likely just a codec issue.
