Sound soak????????????
Ok, I'm converting my garage into a home studio. What I can't find anywhere is stuff to line the walls with to absorb the sound from refecting. I've seen what I'm after before it's a foam like material that looks like half an egg carton. Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase this stuff?
yuh
sure man...id recommend buying the foam from musiciansfriend.com...
but if you're on a budget, i recommend you go to wal-mart (like my friend and i did) and buy the foam egg-carton looking material in the
home & bedding section of the store. we bought 2 queen sized mats for
about $35 total...kick ass deal, and it really did work in terms of
deadening subharmonic drifts and stuff like that...excellent buy,
and it looks semi professional.

musiciansfriend.com set a high price for that shit...but lixicons idea sound good
Thanks guys Wal-Mart was the first place I thought of but I'm living in England right now, no Wal-Mart's here yet. I'll give that web site a try.
If anyone else is interested I also found it a this web site www.marsmusic.com search under studio foam. Also www.auralex.com has some good info on sound diffusion.
