Galileo wants you to create a proportionality:
"the spaces described by a body falling from rest wit a uniformly accelerated motion are to each other as te squares of the time intervals employed in traversing these distances"
in first second it falls 5 meters
how long until its gone 100
Then he can ask us himself.
is it 42?
Im pretty sure I already got it.
but the next problem is dropping a stone from that distance up along vertical axis but using 10m/s/s as acceleration constant. but then asks where stone will be after 1,2,3,4,5 seconds...im pretty sure it hits 4ish, dunno why he asked 5
ugh...sounds like derivatives
waaaaaaaaaaaay too hammered to even read it heheheh
its actually easy...was trying to apply way too much other stuff to it
d = vo*t +1/2 a*t^2
Do your own homework!

since was a single axis was d=.5(9.8)T^2
ended up bein cake...didnt think they were doing it as easy as they did hehe
I enjoy physics but I hate all that shit about motion and so on.

7 seconds?
EDIT:
s = ut + 0.5at^2 =>
100 = 0 + 0.5*5t^2 =>
100 = 2.5t^2 [divide by 2.5]
40 = t^ [square root]
6.32 = t
Ta da.
