hi!

excellent track.. the tweaked out bassline is PURRRRFECT!
so you (the artist) is gabriel kamden? want to label this mp3 correctly.

oh and if you could maybe provide an english "translation" for the song title? i know translations can come out funny - but even if you can explain what the title means would be appreciated!

this track is killer guys.. a little proggy, but with a dope electro bassline & beats.. top notch stuff..

Posted by joinT on May-05-2005 19:00:

what are those tracks on your website?

Posted by iloop on May-05-2005 21:59:

very nice track with some great piano sounds and awesome bassline.
however some mastering issues persist like how the piano comes in slowly then the volume goes up above the track several db, then it comes back too soft. With the arrangement/volume issues solved this could be an amazing track.
thanks for sharing

Well the translation for this would be "Alone but not lonely" or something like that
It's a really well produced track, I think I cant find anything criticable about the sound, except I personally dont like that bass sound that much, its a bit too noisy, maybe its just me. It's not my genre anyway, but I was loving the overall atmosphere of this, the elements harmonize very well. Keep it up!

hm, warum schreib ich eigentlich in englisch?
Mach weiter so!

'K I'll bite.
did you say proggy? ew... but...here goes.

Nice thick synth. Good groove. Awesome tantalizing lil piano tidbits. Good ambience with the FX and backgrounds. This really does have some great elements.
Not bad. For Prog.
Don't you guys want "tune"? Or does the evolution of sounds do it for ya!?
I dont know how to fully appreciate this genre, but I know a good production when I hear it....this is very good!
I like the choices of synths and sounds used.
Keep it up man!

this is awesome. love your percussion programming.. nice and fierce bassline too.

the piano seems to be a bit muffled, though..

ooh i love those strings when everything comes back @ 4:30

great job

the other track, woods and trees is a beta of the second track for this e.p.. the piano things are just some piano lines i wrote, i wanted to try something new, mix elektronix music with classical elements, and i must say i loooooooooove the piano!

project name for the e.p. is gabriel kamden btw.

thanks for commenting so far!

The first 3.30minutes is boring imo... The break introduces a lovely pianomelody. Maybe add some more reverb to make it more dreamy Hm.... If this is a good prog-track, then I don't like prog Sorrym this is just too boring for my taste...

you want to make an electro-ish track dreamy ?!? it's not trance it's much more housey.

prog is a completely USELESS piece of terminology.. i hate the term prog but what can i do? to me progressive means the elements of the track are more slowly layered in.. this isn't quite full out progressive, but it does have progressive qualities..

^^^ like i said above, the actual term "prog" is soooo stupid IMO...
i generally listen to prog as chillout music rather than dancing music, although there can definitely be progressive tracks that can make me wanna bounce.. this is actually one of them..

i find the opposite true - @ 3:30 is when it gets too light & proggy for me... 4:30 when the tweaked bass comes back is when it starts to get interesting again.

Awesome track mate! That bassline is just and that piano part is great as well. Got nothing to say production wise, but this is a great piece of music you produced

Posted by GLD on May-07-2005 08:56:

thanks so far guys!

just wanted to mention one thing: i never said it was prog and while producing it, and i didn't have the intention to make a prog track. i think the title of the thread says how you could describe the genre, but this is a term as useless as prog. i think it's just my style and i can't make music that fits into genres, i like to switch styles, cross boundries and mix up genres to create a whole new style of electronic entertainment.

whoa, did i really write that much? ok, nuff said i think
