Tunes you always find a ******* to mix
Mauro Picotto - Lizard (Megavoices Mix)
its the only track that i always seem to have trouble with, especially mixing out of it....even though im a pretty competent mixer/dj...unless mabye it is actually beatmatched...but just sounds out of sync....because of that warped synth at the end of the track...
i was listening to an oakie set from gatecrasher in 99' where he mixes from lizard into gull....he completly screwed it up cos it sounded like a lawnmower going over rocks.
any other people have any particular tracks u find trouble mixing in or out of?
Reflekt - Need to feel Loved (Original Mix)
Mixing in is no problem, but mixing out always gives me trouble.
Lostep - Burma.
The drums turn into a big mess towards the end and it's just a nightmare to mix anything into that.
I really dont like mixing Armins' 24
Ingo And Eseni DJ - Scare Tactics
there is an altitude track i have which changed pitch lol, always fun
i didn't like mixing push - the legacy as the hole was too big and skipped so i stuck it on cd and sorted that out
never used to like mixing the cosmic gate mix of dreams because you had to get it spot on with all the hats at the start combined with the intro being really short. doesn't bother me anymore now, not that i can imagine normally playing it anymore!
every time one of these is posted I put burma....but now I can put the killers - mr. brightside (zee jocque lu cont remix).
remember not all tracks are always at a constant bpm. some tracks vary by a little bit which may cause added difficulty while in the mix.
Tilt - The World Doesn't Know (Ozgur Can Main Mix)
Intro is really weird. Hard to pinpoint the beats.

cosmic - freefall....the panning effect thats pretty apparent towards the end seems to get me all confused...

Those "kick-free" Ozgur Can intros take a bit of practice. They sound really good when done right, though.
ofra haze - love song (mike mix)
Push - transformation
Oakenfold - Southern Sun
I have never, EVER successfully mixed into this track...
Way out West - Fear
Airwave feat. The Pedestrian - Seattle Calling
It just won't mix in properly no matter what I do - it always goes offbeat sooner or later. I have a feeling the track changes speed during the intro...
Burma's not that bad, just get into the groove of it, or wait it out.
Most of Akufen and Ricardo Villalobos' stuff is a real bitch. Glitchtech polyrhythmic shite.
Daft Punk - Robotrock (Maximum Overdrive Mix)
the pitch changes constantly in this, beatmatching is definately out of the question for this!
I find most of the Early Lab 4 tunes to be a bugger to mix. Partly because they have their own sound and partly because Ithey make them like that on purpose. Actually It's more than likely because I can't mix for toffee. Someone spat some toffee on my decks once when I was mixing. "Haha, " they said "You can't mix for toffee" as the needle jumped into the label. "Your mum sleeps with video recorders." I said. He pulled my headphone jack out and shoved it in my mouth.
I just had to share that with you
baggy Bukaddor - Rock King Roll...such a weird structure with the kicks and the hats...My ears just cannot get around this one.
I can never mix into nathan fake - the sky was pink (holden remix)...there's just too many weird noises which confuse my ears
