For those who are into Street Fighter in Toronto ... Check this out !!!

I've made it to a major site for Fighting Games. I'm ranked #4 in Toronto for the last 5 years in Street Fighter 3 2nd Impact and 3rd Strike. I've organized many tournaments over the years and my recent tournament, which was in the summer had people from Philly, Det., Mon. and other areas in Ontario came together and battled. They didn't even come close to the winner's brackets nor half way the loser brackets. After this Tournament ... it made me internationally famous. The site contains my teaser video (the muzuk in the back ground is Trance )and footage of the tournament ... so check it out if your into Street Fighter or just intrested in what I'm talking about.

did u host the TOSF tourney .. ? i nabbed some vids of some matches a while back .. mind me asking where u held the matches .. ? i've always been wonderin ..

i'm usually deployed down at the Funland arcade on the Yonge & Gould which is bout 30 secs from my skool (Rye) where i catch my fill of matches.

Yeah it is a small world ... I honestly didn't know I'll even get any kind of replies for this thread.

We'll here is the recent updates about SF for me and the rest of the 3rdS crew. It's confirmed that we retired now, due to the fact there isn't any comp. in Toronto for the Elite players and we have been playing that game for almost 3 yrs now. Everytime I have tournament it's always the same people who attend and the results are the same. Since CvS2 is out and it's not a game we enjoy playing and travelling out of town to play other players in 3rdS is not going to happen. I didn't even want to host TOSF T2 Tournament, until I heard the amount of out of towners were coming. If Capcom ever makes at SF33rdS verB., then we'll go hardcore again, but I know for sure they won't and it's sad to hear.

Just want to say thanks to all those who attended T2 Tournament of 3rdS
Elite,good and scrubby ... I admire and respected each and one of you for entiring and your final results.

Are you into any other fighters other than Street Fighter? Tekken or Soul Calibur maybe? If so, then I'll VERY gladly take you on in one of them, especially Soul Calibur on a Dreamcast

I'm not into those fighting games, but fear not ... afew of my friends are the Elites in Toronto for Tekken Tag (too bad Tekken 4 is so hated around the world) and Soul C. I'll tell you when the next tournament is going to happen. (I know all the Elites for all the fighting game in Toronto. They are the famous ones you hear for their level of skills and tournament results) I play VF3tb and trying to learn VF4, but damn that game is so freakin' hard.

Tekken 4

The frame rate sucks now, some chars ... their jabs ruled the game (regardless on what you do ... the jabs are way too fast and will beat any attack or movements you do) All the pros around the world have agreed that " In Tekken 4, whoever gets the jabs out first will win") and the fighting system really stinks ... Namco did add new stuff to system ,the push, which would confuse the old command of an impoartant untiversal anti-counter command...

1)Japanese pros hate it and don't even play it
2)Korean pros hate it and the guy who won the recent Tournament won it by using Jin. (He only started to use Jin 1 week before the major tour. Jin is now way to powerfull and way too agressive. )
3)Afew of Toronto's Elites stopped playing it along time ago and the rest are playing it still but not as hardcore as Tekken Tag.

VF4 is the way to a balanced game,takes beyond amount of skill to play and learn. Even in SF it was never really balanced out all these years

Well enuff of fighting games ... on with "Trance" and what we love to do the most ... PARTY !!!

Disagree ... trance is way to distractive in battle and it's only good to put trance in videos(for fighting games). Thats one of the reasons why I posted this subject up here, both the teaser and parry videos have trance in the background for music.

The Teaser video had over 4000+ downloads in the 1st week and the parry video had even more ... so check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

Heh, interesting...I haven't really been following Tekken 4 too much, since I'm not that big of a fan of the series, but that does seem like shit. From the looks of it, Virtua Fighter 4 beats out T4 this round...heh

What do you think of the Dead or Alive series?
I think that it's all graphics, and no substance. The fighting system is very straightforward and basic...the plot sucks, I don't even know what it is.

Soul Calibur is the best fighting series in my honest opinion, and just thinking of Soul Calibur 2 makes me drool.

ah wells .. tru say tho , u gotta love the trance in the fighting vid demoz ..

altho i still like to throw down some sick trance on mp3 when i;m playin on my DC .. can't never get TOO distracting .. :]

cept maybe when the bass picks up and u get the urge to try parrying eveything .. which usually results in an awful mess , well atleast for me that iz heh

btw... soul calibur kicks. Sigfried is awesome.. If Voldo wasn't such a freak I'd use him more too since he's got some damn confusing moves ..

My favourite characters in Soul Calibur are Taki, Nightmare and Kilik. And just like you said, if Voldo wasn't such a freak, I'd play as him too. I love that game...can't wait for part 2
