Hi...

I have a set called Sander Kleinenberg - Live at JJJMixup - Gatecrasher Sydney from May 1, 2002....

Can anyone confirm this party?....cus i looked for info on it and found nothing.....

anyone know about Gatcrasher in May 2002 in Sydney with Sander?

I think i have the same set on a cassette somewhere. Does he play the deep dish mix of Depeche Mode - Freelove? If so I'd think its the same set and I recorded this straight off triple j mixup years ago.

I saw Sander play at Gatecrasher Summer Sound System in 2001 .. he played on the second day, the Sunday, because it was split over two days. But I'm pretty sure the party was on the 11th of November.

Thats quite possible.

GCSSS was *i think* the second to last GC party in Australia and the last one in 2002 only had Scott Bond, Mario Piu and Paul Glazby as the internationals ...

And how do i know this?? I still have the fliers for both events ! (they are looking a little tattered now )

So the date could be
May 1 or January 5...if its Jan 5 then i would say that is what they aired...being it is closer to the show date...i will have to do some more searching..

and i would think it would be the date jjj put it on air, not the actual gig date.

I knew the tracklist...i was jus curious as to the original date of the Gatecrasher show...cus all searches came up empty for the date of the tracklist...so JJJ seems not to of aired it live.

The main things I DO remember from that party ...

How Lisa Lashes blew the PA, Armin dropped "the sound of goodbye" and was quite possibly, then, the worst dj I have ever seen and Midro played still to this day, one of the best trance sets I have ever heard.

one of the best midro set was his closing at one EPTAS party in 98 .. he dropped humate - love stimulation!!! fucken awesome!!!

Hey I was at that 2day GC event in the circus tent. 2002 was it? I think it was last GC event ever in AU. I could be totally wrong; thats hows my memory is usually!
Did see all of the first day event, did not even bother for the second day which Armin was playing. Future Ent had a disagrement with GC and some other dildo organization took it over that year(Agent mad i think)and fuuked it up hehhe. GC was at the same day with Earthcore and Melb was totally empty ravers wise! You could count the number of ppl at the GC tent.

LOL! yeah it was a huge circus tent with crappy plastic tiles for dancing laid down on the grass. It was 2001 though, and it was spread over two days because the EPA cracked it because of "noise polution". And yes! earthcore was on that same day which is why GC didnt get enough people through the door. From what i remember it was supposed to be rod laver and vodaphone and then they didnt sell enough tickets and set it up tent styles ... hence the downfall of CG in Australia.
