its a cool song...my only complaint would be "way to overcompressed in the bass frequency!!!) i know every producer wants to blow the listener away to nevernever land with a pumping bass, but it has to be proportioned properly to the rest of the song, on a club since the bass would start distorting before any other element is even heard. what type of monitors are you mixing with?
just touch up the bass
i like the effects, you have some nite breaks...this song could thrive of powerful buildups too...take some time to master those...add to the intensity.
What an awesome beat. Very nice sounds you've got here. I love it.
Maybe you can do something with those build-ups. That'll come later once you get the rest of the track put together I suppose. Very nice.
Waaaaayyy toooo much bass, drop 500hz, 64hz and lower out on your EQ. and it may clean up some of the muddy sounds.
Good start though, it has a hook.
I didn't have my bass on,
but good start!
thanx guys...ya, i haven't thrown in the "big break yet"...not sure how i wanna do it.
And play'n around the frequencies and shit, mastering and compression. Lotta that is over my head, still learning about that.
But its all put together with Reason 3.0 .
Thanx for the comments though guys, i'll try and do something with that bass.....
for monitors im just work'n with a pair a 4 8" quests...so not the best in the bus.
I need to work on a track with someone whos great at eq'n and mastering kuz that i am not
^ well thats usually the most common problem among new producers is the mastering/compressioning/eqing, problem...i'm getting better at it, but still have a lot of learning to do.
right now i just have some cheap hifi's...i've been doing my research though and have saved up some money, and in the next two weeks i'm buying the Event Tr-6's from steve's music in TO. (b4 tax they're $550 for the pair) i'm just waiting now for them to get them in stock. after my listening sessions, for the price i don't think you can get a better monitor (although that isn't set in stone since i haven't heard everything, but they blow away the krk's, truths, samson, etc.)
ya, a buddy of mine worked at future shop so i picked up the quests for about $160 with tax...but i hear ya, it would be nice to get more clarity in my monitors for sure.
Ive been producing for a while now, ive been learning bout mastering/eq'n lately to better the mix...but ive heard its a black art..not something you can really just read about.
So, over time I can only get better...thanx for the info though
really impressive...I actually really like the track....this is my second listen, I would really like to hear some of your other work....keep up the great work!

nice job!
amazing start, kinda gets repetative though and there's bass issues.
it's unfortunate reason doesn't support vst plugins, cuz psp vintage warmer or the mda package could be a great help for mastering. if you had cubase or other apps that you could hook up reason with them through rewire that would've given you a lot of mastering possibilities.altough the new mastering feats in reason 3 are pretty good too.
i'd recommend getting T-rackS 24 and doing post-tweaks to fine-grain your tunes, it's does wonders.
hey i added a bassline just for fun and some stuff
where can i upload it
T-Racks eh...i've heard a lot of good stuff about that prog. I'll check it out for sure!
