Australians and People who like Australians Please vote for a Aussie Trance Forum :)

we have been discussing the likeleyhood of an Australian forum on TA and i love the idea so we need some more Aussie TAs and Aussie TAs` friends to raise thier hand for an aussie forum either in here or at the site suggestions forum (original thread):

I think hat I am going to apply for A Sex Forum or a girlfriend forum, then I only need 10-15 peeps who also want is and then we have a new forum

I think this is getting rediculous (or however you spell this), everyone wants their own forum, and it probably isnt going to be used that often, there are a lot of useless forums out there at the moment, why create another useless forum......

(and please don't say that I can't say a thing about this cause I allready have an own forum......... cause that's bullshit, and I have to copy and paste my reply which I made to someone in the site suggestion forum)

I don't see what would be so wrong with an Australasian forum. Yeah fair enough just getting 15 people to say it's a good idea isn't enough, but if 15 people are serious about it then why not? Our UK forum has less than 15 regular posters *counts on fingers* but I wouldn't say it was useless, we use it to chat about things that others outside the UK wouldn't be interested in, and to plan UK meetups etc...

And what difference would it make to anybody else? So it takes up an extra line on the Forum Main page, big deal.

Blik, you are in no position to be complaining about the useless forums and the expansion of the Tranceaddict website - only Swamper has the right to say what is useless, and whether he feels that an Aussie forum would be useful or not.

Just by looking at regional forums, there isnt a single regional forum that has proven to be a waste as of yet, hence more ground to reward the Aussies with their own regional forum.

Again, why does it bother u so much if the Aussies would have a forum. Do you think it would take away from your Holland forum, or away from the other forums? It's not like you'd be moderating it, and nobody would force you to post or read any of the messages in the Aussie forum. How could you even say that the Aussie forum would be useless? I believe it would be very useful to unite a big country like that and have a place to talk about the issues, whether political, musical, or sexual

Now before you post again, please come up with some reasonable argument as to why the Aussie forum should not be....

I don't complain about the the expansion of the site, and no, swamper is not the only who can have his own opinion...... that's the biggest pile of crap I've ever heard, I can have an opinion about the forums that we have.......I am moderating them

example: the sports forum.... I supported the idea at first.....now I think it is actually useless, I van have my opinion about a forum that I helped creating right???

I think it would be useless......and it isn't really about the Aussie Forum, it is about anyone who is requesting a regional forum, everybody wants one...... what about that Celtic Forum.....?? that was the most bullshit I've ever read in my life..... Swamper gives you a forum when you have 10-15 peeps who will use it, that's not hard to accomplish when you have 6000 members, it wouldn't even be hard with 1000 members to accomplish that

at first we have to raise the amount to get a forum, to at least 25-30, which all have to come from the region itself and not foreign peeps who like to talk with the region peeps and want to support it because they are "friends", cause eventually they won't post in that forum again, and then you have 10 region peeps who have an own forum, which nobody uses......... for example, the Holland Forum (the biggest regional forum) has like 50 different posters, and was created round february, has over 30000 posts, that is the 3rd forum from TA, when you like at the UK forum, also created round february has 2000+ posts, that's 6 % of the posts that the Holland forum has, I don't say it's useless cause they have awsome events and awsome DJ's, but what does "Trance-land Australia" has to offer for us, big events who are known all over the world..?? big DJ's ?? I don't think so, I think you only should get a regional forum when you have

25-30 peeps who will use all the time
big events, big dj's

and as far as I know off, Australia doesn't have both of these

have you ever seen tiesto spin?? let's say you haven't seen him spin ever, you still have an opinion about him, you think he's great or you think he stinks, but what you say now is that ou can't have an opinion about tiesto cause I haven't seen him spin......that is just bullshit, I can have an opinion about anything that happens on this forum, just because I visit this forum......

and I haven't got anything against french-speaking people, only french peeps themselves ( I went on vacation to French like 10 times so I can have an opinion about that right??)
if you read it, you could see that I thought it was dumb to create a France forum when there are only 5 peeps (just guessing) from France here, it would have been better when we would have a French speaking forum, and also call it that way, there's no problem with that........

Blik I'm afraid i'm not really with you on this one! The question of whether or not we get a Aussie forum on here is of little concern to me to be honest. I'll still be in the other forums the majority of the time. So if we get it or we don't it isn't the end of the world to me.

But what pisses me off though is your attitude. You're not even being objective or open minded about it and your comments are really coming across as childish and petty to be honest. Saying just because we don't get as many big Dj's and maybe because we're so far away from the rest of the world, maybe we don't have as much exposure to good dj's over here as there in Europe but what in Gods name has that got to do with it. The forum would be a place for us to chill out and chat with our fellow Aussie TA's about gigs, local get together's etc just the same as you dutch do

Well, I guess you would know...... I mean, after all the time you've spent in Australia recently, you must be an expert on the club culture here, yeah?

Firstly, you're wrong, secondly you're missing the point.

The amount of DJ talent that's graced these shores over the past few months is staggering, the magnitude of the events is similarly great (the Gatecrasher tour likely to pull some 100,000+ in all states) and the club life is well entrenched - easily as well entrenched as that in Holland (even if it isn't purely "trance" clubs). We have the biggest club in the Southern Hemisphere (QBH - 8000+ people) as well as several other large clubs with international recognition, including Home in Sydney. The popularity of electronic music and the club-life in this relatively small country (population wise) is demonstrated by the large amount of Australians who post on this forum, as well as all the others I'm a member of - this alone is justification enough for an Australian forum.

Now if Swamper decides that an Aussie forum isn't worthy of his time, then fine, I can accept that. But having idiots like you telling us what we are and aren't worthy of, is something that I just can't accept. If Swamper wishes to create this forum - using up his own time, and his own time only - then I fail to see what say you should have in it. How is it going to affect you? Is it going to make the Dutch forum less "special" for you? Since when were you the master of these forums?

and this is the bad part of your reply, full of nonsense, it is an opinion I have!! I wonder what yo guys would say if I wasn't a moderator and if I were from China for example......is that all you have to say, that I have an EGO-problem?? I find this rather amusing, just because I don't think an Australia-forum is necessery you are going to make up all sorts of problems that I seem to have with myself
