Tholius - Performance, Compatibility
Hey all...
I heard about this amateur production area, and its community sharing ideas and comments, so I decided to join. This is I guess first post of my own track. Please, don't hold back!
I know the sound quality will not be superior, because I'm still waiting for computer upgrade and some decent speakers, but time will take care of that.
Thanks

Could you be the same Tholius from ET?
Anyways, I don't know what kind of trance is this, but certainly is not my cup of tea.
Lacks of the main thing, a hook, that part of the track that would make me listen to it over and over.
I know Tholius, I know, it is a matter of everything, you took good care of the sounding, volume levels are great, decent master, but the track itself lacks of hook and a decent structure.
Thanks for replying
I tried to make it more so Progressive, although I fear you'll reply with a "No, it's definately not Prog." Lol.
And about the structure, I made the typical, unoriginal trance structure, with a couple of extraneous breakdowns I suppose, but nothing overly drastic I thought.
Any other thoughts?
I like the kick you used...the arps in the middle of the track are cool. The bass is offkey and you need to work on structure. The track seems really random now and doesnt have structure at all. Study some pro songs and see how they start, break, end to learn how trance tracks are structured.
Manvel
Yep, you're right about the bass being off key with the 'middle melody.' I'm still trying figure out a sequence of bass and kicks which incorporates with the melody, yet then will flow onto the later melody.
With you saying the structure is random, do you mean the transition from the middle melody to the later melody? Because yes I agree I want to improve that.
