updated! [Dream Trance] New Found Paradise (preview)

Hello,

Let me start by giving a big thanks (again ) to mr. Mycron for learning me some basics for Logic. Without his help this one could have not been made, well certainly not in this quality . Well, i think this is one of my best to date, a very dreamy (Romi ) sound and a lot of energy in it. I hope you also like it. Made in Logic 5.5 , with a bunch of plugins, but you guest that allready i think .

Here is the preview of 'New Found Paradise':

Well if that stupid sitesled is down again, here is another adres (lower q though)

wow this sounds superb - there's quite a lot going on but evrything sounds really clear - my only slight criticism is maybe the pad sound should be a little quieter when everything comes back in at around 2m44s but I'm listening on headphones which maybe are emphasizing certain frequencies unnaturally

Hey Romi,

This is excellent stuff. Very dreamy indeed. Has a bit of the feel of the Palma Salone or Inner Stories tracks from ISOS 4. Very nicely done. Soundquality is superb, maybe just a tad too much bass.

I love the lead sound and melody and it is cool how you introduce the lead, let the kick come in, have it go again and then everything kicks in again. Very cool!

This sounds like your best track so far, looking forward to hearing the whole version.

Cheers!

Liking the portamento in the break.

Once everything gets going, this is very nice. You could make the lead a tiny bit louder, though.

Beautiful piece of work, I like those arps and that sweeping pad in the braek.
The bassline is nice and warm, great stuff here.

Ahh, is too short, you left me asking for more.... that is a good thing. It got the hook. Congrats.

Thumbs up

Yep,

Great quality from Romi once again , ... that flowing sound during the break at high volume is what trance is all about, buzzing in the eardrums

Like mentioned before, the lead could be a little louder, the beat is right up my alley ... like it!

Maybe we could get the full track later (like with "A Melody" , which kicked ass btw).

Aren't you up for sale on audiojelly yet ?

Hey ,if i put up a track later for review i'd really value your opinion ...

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, i think you guys are right about the volume of the lead, i will look at it.

The last review before I go to bed.

Arg, another too trancy tune. :P
Sounds ok, some sounds sound a bit cheap, a bit thin maybe. Try to work on that by some EQ-ing or maybe make them sound a bit phatter with the synthesizer or add some detune to it.

Oh, and about that lead, enough is said about that. :P

Dreams away nice at the and. It's not that smashing stuff, but it's nice to listen to.

Thanx for the comment Darkone55. Well, for me it could not be too trancy enough , just a matter of taste i guess.

Sitesled is down again (hapens more and more lately ), so here's another adres (lower quality):

It's a slightly improved and longer cut now btw.

Well, I like dreamy trance very much, but it needs to be a bit special, that's the thing I miss here, and that a problem I hear a lot on TA. But, this is better than the average, it's not tht standart.

Posted by Romi on May-08-2005 13:28:

I'm glad you find it better than average Darkone55. I think there's nothing wrong with a somewhat standard trancer, but as you said, it's not even that standard. That was exactly what i was trying to archive with this one .

Interesting, this is a completely different approach to "dreamy trance" than I made, but it works amazingly well for me though.
Nice buildup, works greatly with all the background stuff you've thrown in.
The following breakdown is very long, but it sounds great. The only thing I dont feel 100% content with are the kinda "whining" pads starting at 0:58. Kinda hard to describe, but I think you should try it with less cutoff.
The rest is really fine, great stuff!

Posted by Romi on May-08-2005 21:21:

Thanks for the feedback cybernetica. The whining pad you refer to is imo the thing that makes this one stand out, so i leave that as it is.
