God Within - Raincry

just got the Northern Exposure 4 pack. now i know where RITM got their vocal sample for OBE. i know i've heard this vocal sampled in other songs as well...i think it's in Dear Boy - Amboseli (The Drum Club remix of Greyclouds) and i'm sure others.

absolutely one of the most classic and recognizable vocal samples of all time. glad to have the original now!

Its a shame the "Spiritual Thirst" Version of Raincry was included on the Northern Exposure 4x12, rather than the Submerged version, which is the version heard on the actual NE1 mix cd.

They included the wrong mix of kites too...

The sample used in the phases of an OBE is from the song Loveleft, Loveright by Prince and can be heard in the movie Graffiti Bridge (1990).

I think Raincry is so good that Ive never wanted to have it....so it will live longer..
