Originally posted by kamil theyre not out yet, so any price tag now will be wierd. however, theyre already selling on ebay for 330 US. considering all the goodies this unit is packed with, its worth it. id buy, hell fucken yeah id buy it.
Looks decent (buttons look a little bit ...-ish), but I think I'm still glad I bought an iAudio M3L. Sony has style, but features are generally lacking. No drag-and-drop capabilities, laughable audio format support. The removable battery is very attractive, I must admit. Still, it seems to me that Apple and Sony are competing for the hipsters in the market, rather than the audiophiles. Can you blame them though?

Originally posted by kamil personally, i hate remotes, all remotes, i never EVER use a remote, in fact, i find them more of a hassle and nuissance than anything else, and i dont care how good the remote is, they piss me off, mainly because: remotes make the cord length from the unit to my headphones longer. ^i hate that. sony's HD5 does come with a remote. itll prolly be like the MD remotes that look like lipstick.

Originally posted by occrider The sony may be better with its remote, but at the time I bought my iaudio the only real alternative was the ipod. Considering I flip around a lot, a remote seems to suit me perfectly. Why fuck with taking the whole unit out of my pocket when I can just press a button on a mini remote that's attached to my pants or my shirt when I'm running?

Originally posted by kamil i know, the M3L does have a sweet remote, but i wouldnt use it anyway. if the M3L had at least a function (preferably without a display) to skip through FOLDERS on the unit alone, as well as songs, i woulda considered it, its one VERY sexy mp3 player. i love the design of it.
.
woot for sony...i'm such a brand slut

Originally posted by occrider Heh, actually I consider the I-pod "sexier" but I buy things primarily for their functionality as opposed to their popular appeal. The M3 looks nice, but I never see it because I never take it out of my pocket .
