seriously FUCKED UP film, in a good way many of you probably seen it already but for those that havent, i highly recommend it..

TRAILER

Thumbs up

truly one of the best movies of 2003. i think that is when it was released in korea. so fecked up indeed. there are worst things then death.

the transitions in scenes are really top notch. apart from story line this is what got me. the one were they are both laying together and then the camera focuses on the girl and a train comes out from the right beggining the next scene. . or how about that continous shot when he is fighting all those people.

9/10. just because second time around its not as amazing.

also there are 2 other movies from the same director that are worth checkin out.

three extremes = 3 directors = 3 stories. last story is done by oldboy director.

n the other one i saw was...........

surroundin theme, revenge.

Must agree with Mr. tek saw it with him this weekend and when asked how I liked it.....answer MAD FUCKED UP but damn good. Its was my boyfriend's second time seeing it.

I am not a fan of violent movies but this one is a must see.

oi..

Thanks for the heads up Tek !!

It was very disturbing at times, but it's an extremely well made movie. I think that was the best fight scene I'd ever seen. Sure beats anything from the matrix movies.

Posted by benh on May-09-2005 19:07:

this movie schools Quentin Tarantino in the revenge genre movie making.

nothing really,
the last good movie i saw was El Mar Adentro from Spain.
same director who did Los Amantes del Circulo Polar.

the kill bill series is soooooo over rated.

Posted by arek on May-10-2005 02:50:

yea the corridor fight scene is unreal.

another good korean movie is Kids Return.

Posted by DTMMfam on May-10-2005 02:56:

Chan Wook Park is the man. I want to see his new movie, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.

watch the trailer

Heard it was good, going to watch it in a few minutes actualy, although I hate subtitled movies when I'm tired.

Posted by chojin on May-10-2005 16:40:

*downloading

watched kung fu hustle this morning, completely different genre, but good shit nonetheless

Posted by hitokiri on May-10-2005 17:42:

all im gonna say is make sure you pay close attention to everything going on in the movie so the end makes sense

Posted by m0sh on May-10-2005 19:05:

Awesome movie...!

Posted by chojin on May-10-2005 22:36:

i just got done watching the film and i have to say 8 or 9 out of 10. i had my suspicions about mido's relationship but then i thought once they'd done the dirty no way it could turn out to be true.

the last 10 minutes were so harsh, but i guess you're never gonna get a happy ending actually put me in quite a bad mood

but thanks for the recommendation, anything similar?

Posted by Basstard on May-10-2005 22:41:

rumor has it this movie is getting the hollywood treatment with Tom Jane set to star.
