Just to make Getfoul jealous and probably everyone else too...

The Gumball 3000 rally this year starts in London from Trafalgar Square. I'll be there to capture as much of it as i can from when they leave




For those of you who don't know what the Gumball 3000 rally is go here www.gumball3000.com

for those of you who can't be arsed to go there, its basically a 3000 mile race. Participants are usually driving the finest cars on the planet. the gumball 3000 makes Porsche turbo's, ferrari 360's and 550's common as muck. the 10k GBP entry fee also pays for 5* hotel accommodation every night where there are also sick partys and fine women Last year, the fastest speed recorded in the rally was 242 mph in a koenigsegg CC. Two Ferrari Enzo's are expected to take part and i'm hoping that Joe Macari (exotic car dealer near where i live) uses his Pagani Zonda instead of that crappy Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale.

The cars are on display in Waterloo Place (between Picadilley and Pall Mall) from 11-6. They start to move off from 6!

it'll take about 30-45 mins to get all 115 cars out i reckon. The noise will be fantastic

think i'd have a pretty good chance if i entered this?

hehe I liked the American one where the f-50 got pulled over at 180 and went straight to jail.

Also they hit a bird while driving and its wings were perfectly spread out in center of grill like it had been trying to get away but a 150mph hit it

Its crazy when the Dinaan M3 and Ducati motorcycles are the slow ones hehe.

I'd go even if I knew I was gonna lose, and I think most people do. The experience just looks out of this world.

i was watching the vid clip of that now, it was a bentley...how fitting, the bird resembled the logo haha

and the guy telling the camera how he got pulled over for 102 in an 80, but he busted the F50 guy for 187 mph lol

then there is another clip on a speedo going to 205 i think? probably the F50's

oh btw, i'm NOT taking part lol, i'm just going to take pictures and vids of the beginning of the rally.

but taking part in this rally IS a life ambition of mine ( in a decent car too, not a regular car lol) and i WILL fulfill it byt he time i'm 30

Numbnuts over there doesnt even own a camera, so he's roped me into being captain capture-the-moment

I hope the battery on my cam last long enough, coz I got up to 2G worth of storage space for movies and pics

Hopefully my tripod will make people think I am like press or something and get me access to special places (hopefully chock-a-block of fit women)

i've just seen videos of this before. and yes, add me to the list of jealous people.

BTW for those in the uk who have digital. Extreme channel (under sports) has a day to day series of how the gumballers are gettin on.

Some sneak pics...we have to reencode about 30 mins of raw AVI footage to WMV, we've probably got a couple of hundred pics between us. These pics are from kr00t0ns camera.

oh and i also have 45 minutes of mini DV footage to encode. anyone want to lend me a firewire card and cable?

So they passed Belgium today (or yesterday, I'm not sure). There were alot of cops because they knew Gumball3000 was going to be in Belgium, all they did was give some 200$ fines for speeding It's actually crazy to see them race between normal traffic, it's dangerous as hell!

I'll have all my pics n videos up sometime tomorrow
