German TA coming to Stockholm - Advices?!

Dear TAs from Sweden,

next week my girlfriend and me are coming to visit your wonderful country, especially Stockholm. We come to celebrate the passing of her A-Level. We stay in some Youthhostel and the last time I have been to Stockholm is about 9 Years ago - so we need good advices what to see, where to have a good lunch, which museums are good, which are boring and of course, where to go clubbing : )

It would be very kind of you, when you finde the time to give us some tips for our trips!

Greets from Germany

Nico

PS: If you have a thread for problems like this, please give me the link!

There's lots of things to do, people here are just too lazy (me included). What's the date of your arrival, and for how long are you staying?

Ok, I have some suggestions... as for museums Vasamuset is the obvious choice. A well preserved 17th century warship.

Cosmonova (at Nordiska Riksmuset), huge IMAX cinema showing spectacular documentary films, pretty cool the first time.

If you're here the whole week you can see the mounted royal guards with mounted music corps at Stockholm Palace. The ceremony takes place at 12.15 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week. Might be fun to watch if you got the time and if the weather is nice. I did my last ceremony 3rd may this year, so if you'd come earlier you'd see a TA on one of those horses.

Without doubt the Vasa museum is recommended! there's a german page on their website with details: http://www.vasamuseet.se/Vasamuseet...an.aspx?lang=en

I don't live in Stockholm so I can't give more advise, sorry

What i love to do in stockholm is just to walk down the Drottninggatan, watch people go into the old town, and when its good weather its awesome to just sit dowtown by the water or take one of the boats out into the archepelogo (sp? )....
