alright!!! All hands down to PvD!!!! I cant believe i was talking to him. i am so damn surprised. i cant believe he took my CAMERA and took a picture of me!!! i cant believe he fucking signed a autograph. i cant believe i was talking to him what tracks he should play next. i cant believe he played all the tracks i requested. i cant believe this shit!!!! its all a damn fucking dream to me! basically i cant believe i was fucking TALKING TO HIM THE WHOLE TIME!! what a fucking coo ass guy!!!

Hey bro, no problem, you were already in the front so I figured you could make more use of it than me. Paul van Dyk was excellent, he seemed so cool and so professional, just relaxed, he knew exactly what he was doing. Saw PvD last night @ the Armory, was not real impressed.

Some of you say that PvD doesn't interact with the crowd -- well, he did a little, that night; he often smiled and even waved his hands before each climax. But there was something wrong with the vibe and I thought his track selection was lackluster

There was a girl with me who didn't know a whole lot about trance, she'd just heard a few of PvD's MP3's (like "We are alive", etc.) and was excited to see him... but that set probably bore little resemblance to her expectations.

Review: van Dyk @ Radiate

Anyone who was the Armory last night witnessed and heard an amazing set once again from simply the best dj in the world:

Eugene, obviously the vibe may have beem a bit lackluster because so many people were "cracked out" and the venue so large, but I think his set was well fit for a "rave" of that caliber, just my opinion..

AMIT- thanks for the pen, i was the one wearing the VANDIT shirt screaming along with you and talkin to him just like you were...its funny, all the tracks you were writing, im sure he was going to drop them anyway, but its amazing how he actually took time out to read what we were writing to him ...nice to meet you and i hope you realize that, even though your young, your very lucky to be that up-front with dj's like van DYK already...

Anyway, he dropped some classic tunes like Face to Face, Another Way, Vega, Out There, and a new remix of Alibi-Eternity that was beautiful....i could sit here and talk about van Dyk all night...

I tried to get him to wear my Twilo shirt also but i think he would rather stay neutral and wear his white t-shirt..when i get a chance, i'll post ALL the pics i took of him and the other dj's ..peace.

when i listend to the POD cd, and put on "Autumn" i finally got to put the name to the amazing track i had heard in Melbourne in May2001...all i remembered was "that" melody!....

i KNEW it was one of his tracks!
and finally , the confirmation that it was in fact Autumn!

anyone know when this track was made?

I was there for the DC Armoury... Drove down from NYC for it. Took my 6 hours to get there when it should only take 3.5 >.<

But made it and it was worth it
I went nuts when Another Way, Empire, and Into the Night came on. Oh and Reach Me

I was dancing with my ribbon photon lights the whole time. Anyone see me? I think I was the only one with them.

Oh yeah, there was a song in the beggining of either PvD's set or the previous DJ. I'm pretty sure it's PvD but it has synthesized female vocals with the chorus being "I don't care what people say.." Does anyone know the name of that song?

Just to let you guys know, van Dyk did not play Autumn but it doesnt matter, the set was just amazing....

Check out some of the other threads where Raven and I have almost completed the tracklisting (well..not really)...

Push01 and Vivek, you guys missed out on a great experience...van Dyk was literally talkin to us during his set..afterall, we were basically breathing over his shoulder...he would even respond by winking his eye at me whenever i woould scream out the name of the track he just set on the turns...the man's a musical genius...it was even more amazing when he dropped a track one of my friends produced..wow!

He played about 12 tracks from his album, and a few old faves and LOTS of new tracks I've never heard before.

Rave atmosphere was electrifying and the energy of that place was nuts. Scott Henry played the best set I've ever heard him play. PvD came on and just pounded us. The first hour was full of new tracks I'd never heard before. He continued to drop some old faves with new tracks in the second hour then just ended the set blistering with a lot of his album cuts. The Fire eaters were cool and the painted tribal dancers in the blacklight were also quite at sight. It was awesome to see so many people there. The whole night was just amazing. I was too tired and too much in bliss to go see Tiesto afterward. I lost my voice screaming and I'm in so much pain today from dancing so hard.

It was an incredible night.

VOP, it sucks I didn't see you. I was dancing on near the front on the left with a huge group of friends. There were about 35 of us from EZdreamer that came to the show. Massive turnout and great set. Some of the ezdreamers went on to tiesto and said that he sucked ass. Most of us decided not to go b/c it would just tarnish an incredible night.
