Armada@ Amnesia 2005

lasy year , those nights included perry oneil , MIKE , harry lemon , along with armin , markus , and remy .

this year , according to amnesia , its only armin , markus , and remy , paul oakenfold , and nick warren ....
why are nick warren and paul oakenfold playing on ramada nights ? and why arent MIKE , Perry , and Harry not playing this year ... ?

and i am happy to see Gabriel and Dresden playing there along side Paul van dyk.

why should the keep the same lineup 2 years in a row?

Posted by qussay on May-11-2005 13:00:

the old line-up included more djs , which means more variety and different styles , but armin plays everynight .... the new line up , has only 3 djs from aramada , armin , markus , and remy , it will be more repetitive ... IMO ofcourse ..... maybe its by popular demand !

Although i would like to see MIKE, ill tell you now, Nick Warren plays some amazing stuff. Saw him in march, he was great.

i see it's on for 10 weeks this year rather than 7. should be a good season!

last year
armin
perry oneil
markus
MIKE
harry lemon
remy

this year
armin
markus
paul oakenfold
nick warren
remy

They have only 1 less dj. Armin, perry, markus all play the same stuff. And armin plays tons of mike stuff. where is the variety? I don't see what you are saying?

Warren is the best out of them all anyway...

I like the new line up MUCH better... although I don't understand why Oakey is playing at Armada nights? Couldn't get his Perfecto name for the nights he's spinning?

Armada/Amnesia would not make nearly as much money if the headlines were "world's most creative djs", haha. Cash money, get the green!

Posted by torontotrance on May-11-2005 16:35:

Nick Warren is the sole bright spot.

i don't think sasha would bring in the crowds alone that avb/oakey combined would bring in...

i'd go see oakey, i have no desire to see avb whatsoever, and with sasha's Fundacion coming out soon, i think people would be stoked to hear what he's doing. he's released next to nothing on the internet, and i want to know very badly what kind of stuff he's spinning. er.. ableton-ing

Correcto.

Sasha has leeeegions of followers. And most people that are even somewhat into trance know that Oakey's washed up. I'd tend to agree that Sasha would have one hell of a crowd even if he did a solo show.

he's washed up, yeah, but i just want to see him play. ive never been to one of his shows, but i worshippppppppppppppp his world tour sets. and besides, creamfields was pretty damn good. his Orange hours set a few weeks back was pretty good too. i think if he gives a shit, he can still do good, just not at the same caliber of his glory days.

edit : even then, though, his skills came down to track selection and access to uber rare records, ones only he had. CIP : Essential mix from china.
