Cubase SX Problem
Hi i just install my cubase sx. And i have a midi radium 49 keyboard. When i use reason i have a sound output. but when i use my keyboard with cubase sx i can heard anything. how do you link the keyboard to the vst instruments loaded in cubase sx to have a sound output. my soundcard is the one with the motherboard on my laptop.\
please help...
First check your sound works in Cubase, just try importing an audio file and then playing it and see if it works. If it does, and the latency is OK (the delay between playing and hearing, this may be easier to check when you have a synth loaded up...), then create a new MIDI track (double click in the empty space where the tracks go). Then go to the VST instruments window (F11) and load a synth, and set the output of the MIDI track you just created to this VST instrument. Try jamming and see if it works. If not, watch the transport bar, and see if there is any indication you are pressing a key (MIDI input) - if not, go to Devices, Device Setup and check the MIDI keyboard input is enabled. Sorry I've not go in to detail, I'm guessing you've probably figured this out anyway, but let me know if not.

Just to add on from that - I have to click and highlight the button on the midi channel too or I cant hear anything (dont know if you have to do this but I do and it works!!)

Hope it helps
