Shame / Disagreement What was I thinking?

Sheeeeeeeit. I knew this was going to happen. When will I ever learn? Work all day, party all night, then work all day? I must be nuts. Only 4 hrs. left to go. Feck. Then the long drive home without the DVP. Great. There was a time I could pull it off. Every time I always say "never again"! But then I forget I'm not invincible and here I am.... sitting and staring at tv screens without anything to do for hours between tapes wondering if the day could possibly go by any slower. I work shift work, too, so I always think my bod can keep up... I'm behaving like a girl half my age. D'oh!

How many of you do this?

I'm not suffering in silence, either... **moans and groans**

15 1/2. No mad bar. I'd go to see Lovejoy at Clinton's if I was going to do anything. But I have to work at 8 again tomorrow morning, so I'd better rest up before my heart stops.

I've done it a lot of times, but it's starting to catch up with me.

This week, I did it TWICE, but wimped out on Wednesday and called off work.

Then I partied Thursday night, and got like 3 hours sleep then went to work, and the fact that I was drinking and..."snowboarding" didn't help much. Still managed to get through work in one piece, though.

I know better now not to pull that on my body...if I am partying hard there is NO way in hell I am going in to work the next day

I used to pull it off back when I was like 19 till about 21. Now at 24...hell I need my rest!!

Posted by magikb on May-14-2005 18:11:

This week has been horrible for me as well.. up almost every night past 3am (damn internet) and started Thursday night at the Vault, last night at Purple Room and tonight Board Wars then to Guv..
It is just a vicious cycle.. but fun at that!

Can't party like I used to when I was 20, but I will give it what I got now..
I look at it this way... I have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead, so party hard and live life now!

Posted by dance2dabeat on May-14-2005 18:17:

^^^^^^^^

so true...yet I love my sleep wayy too much!

I've done it before...and each time has been worth it! Though I try not to make a habit of it.

ooooh...au contraire mon ami...

u know that u die quicker with lack of sleep as compared to lack of food?

(ie starving to death is a longer time period as compared to staying up to death)

Posted by tatgirl on May-14-2005 20:37:

Poor Caroline- the ride home is hell. 3 accidents on the roads so far, and everything is going at snail's pace.

Hey, it was nice meeting you on Friday, too! At least I wasn't alone in the whole "having to work Saturday after a great night on Friday, thing!"

Posted by Stingray on May-15-2005 12:29:

I used to do it EVERY weekend.

Party late Friday nite, work at 9:30 am Saturday, party late saturday night, work at 10 am Sunday.

I swear every Sunday morning I'd be thinking to myself "Why do I do this? I cant wait to get off work and come home and sleep..."
Then I'd go out Sunday nite
