Progressive techno?

I was browsing around www.dancerecords.com and I notice some of their stuff is categorized under 'progressive techno.' Does such a genre exist or is it something that they just made up? The tunes sound similar in style to any other techno tunes I've heard on their site.

?progresive techno?

well, more slower techno is kinda like Minimal Techno, or acid house.

Progressive Techno is the most retarted idea I have ever heard... who ever produces it needs to be killed.

Isn't Progressive Techno a contradiction?

Well my definition would be Pig & Dan - Blonde/Decisions, that's what I've been calling it anyway...

has nothing to do with mouths...good guess though. i mean they do have that in common but there are two other commonalities which are why i decided to make it in the first place.

and thanks for quoting my signature, see i wouldn't have known what you meant without that because, well, i'm an idiot.

To give you guys an idea of some of the stuff they categorized as "progressive techno":

Gadgets - Revelation [ELP]
Leandro Gamez - Part 2 (Oaxaca/Limbo) [Intec]
Housebreaker - Are You Ready [Slide]
Gui Boratto - Twiggy [Circle]

I guess the only thing I can say is that these tunes sound a tad bit slower than other techno, but I'm thinking it's bull.

I dunno if strictly exists a genre called prog. techno but some tunes have this tipically proggy melody with a fast techno bassline. I'd classify these songs, such more stuff from Jericho, Underwater even from Highland Beats (limited), as prog. techno. Other ppl would say it's just melodic techno.. but then we can say also melodic house instead of prog. house.

Example: Mr. Sliff - The riff
