I want to buy myself a synthetizer sometime in the future for the purpose of backing up a rock band or making industrial/trance/techno productions.. what is the best one out there? Which is the most quality for the price? Thanks in advance!!

Check out the following:

Roland JP-8000 or JP-8080.
Access Virus.
Novation Supernova series.
Korg MS2000.

All of those kick ass, but in different ways.
