A Fruity Problem

Hey,
To all those in the knowlegde can you help?
I own fruity loops and love it.
There are some things that i want to do and i'm not to sure how or if you can do them.
The first is to be able to change the volume of bits of the song to create build ups or fade ins and outs to give the song more of a feel.
Also is there a good way for making long note melodies that can sound good.

The volume thing can be done in several ways. You can make a pattern you want to do fades on, and use the record button. Also you can use the event editor in the piano roll for each instrument/sample without recording, automatic. You can also use effects, either record or use the event editor for them.
