American Dad

Simpsons - Good
Family Guy - Even Better
American Dad - Horrible

I do not find this show funny at all. The over-the-top jokes about America are just not funny. I hope this show gets cancelled.

Some of the jokes are funny, but it constantly feels like it's trying too hard.

Simpsons - Used to be the best show on television but has gone a bit downhill. What do you expect after 16 seasons though.

Family Guy - Classic. The kind of stupid sence of humour that me and my brother have.

American Dad - First episode was a flop, the second and third were pretty funny. Not near Family Guy status but definately some memorable moments. This is more of a political comedy, probably to vent about his feelings on politics and whatnot but without making Family Guy even more racy and possibly having it canceled again.

i think american dad could be funny...the 1st episode was pretty lame. but the 2nd & 3rd were not too bad. family guy is still great though. i agree with josh however, i hope the writers notice that and fix it before its ultra repetitive. i think tonights episode is a 2 parter with stewie? or does that start next week?

man you sound snappy even when people agree with you...weird

i want futurama back

simpsons is basically running on thin ice.
glad to c family guy back but i don't see it staying good for long.

Posted by pyro on May-16-2005 03:38:

ya thats true, but i still think they should have let simpsons die and kept futurama going. just my 2 cents

American Dad tonight i thought was pretty funny [the part when he remembered his anniversary on the boat, and then when he opened up the door and plate flew across the room - grand]

Family Guy on the other hand was a bit disappointing. the chicken thing was only funny for the first 20 seconds or so....not the full 3 minutes or however long it dragged on.

American Dad hasn't found its niche yet. Took a while for Family Guy to be accepted. Actually started gaining popularity after it started coming out on DVD.

seth macfarlane is just wasting funny shit that could be on family guy, on american dad...

"this is the only picture of francine where you can't see vag"

But Family Guy was always good. American Dad isn't going to find a "niche" in 3 years time and everyone will be like "oh my god so it doesn't suck".

South Park still does it for me.

actually somebody told me recently that the simpsons actors have contracts until... 2007 or something, so i'd guess that it's gonna go on for a couple more years. that or maybe they'll have 25 seasons and have a big 25 season special or something.

Southpark, always had decent episodes every season, but this last one was sort of tiring.

They really pushed the limits of censorship this season and oftentimes it just leaves you wondering why they'd even take it so far.

The critter christmas was classic though.

Hmm, I seem to be an exception to the norm; most posts on here and TVTome seem to agree that American Dad is awful. I, however, have loved every episode, especially last night's. If anything I'm enjoying American Dad more than the new season of Family Guy (which surprises me, since S1-3 of Family Guy are easily my most watched DVDs).

What has aired so far of South Park season 9 has been mostly awful. The first episode, "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina", had me walking out of the room for the first few minutes. Seems that Trey and Matt can't shock viewers with bad language anymore so they're trying to rattle the cage with other, more outrageous, themes. And Jimmy hooking up with a prostitute? That's not even worthy of further comment...

I normally love South Park but this series has been a real disappointment. Hopefully it'll improve when it returns later this year.

Anyway... long live American Dad!

It's a shame because they've had such great ideas in the past and they always have great messages in their episodes. The show may have a lot of stupid humour but it has pretty strong commentary.

Familly Guy is overdone and its turning to shit.
American Dad is the way to go!

The simpsons is the best TV show EVER, no matter how many times i watch it I never get bored of it, as long as homer & bart is there!!!
