Can 2 instances of reason sync up?

Is this possable? Can 2 instances of reason sync to each other?

You would need to run Reason on two separate computers, and then use the Midi Clock Sync function to make sure they're in time with each other.

thats interesting... how can i do it?? if you have the time post a little "guide" please.

I don't have 2 computers...so I wouldn't have a clue where to start

I just knew that you could sync any sequencer up with a midi clock.

It's impossible to sync up reason without using other programs, reason cannot send out midi signals by itself.

Run a program which is able to send midi clock signals (like cubase)
enable the midi clock remote in both reason windows, and connect them to the cubase signal.

The only problem is you'll need cubase to play both seperated reason instances You can't start the first instance at bar#8 and the other one for example on bar 73... Both instances will start on the same bar.

To be able to rout the midi signals within your pc, install a program called midi yoke... which emulates 8 midi channels within your pc, you can use these channels to link various applications together without needing any physical cables

good luck.

Seems like a lot of work. What can you do with 2 that you cant do in just one? Would be a lot of instruments in one, thats the only thing i can see.

Why would you want to run two instances of Reason?

Hi Jezper!

I think this is a way to mix 2 tracks.

A few years ago I tried with a friend to synchronise Fruity Loops with Reason, without any external software... And it worked... it wasn't perfect but it worked (but on 2 different computers).
