Talking Mirco de Govia

What's everyone's opinion on MdG? I really like his style, though it reminds me of many other artists, MdG just stands out from the rest, and i've been hearing more and more of his work in various compilations as of late.

He's grown to be one of my favorite producers.

'Things That Matter' was such a massive track when I first heard it. He has a unique style of trance, and thats Definatly a rarity in this business. Although, I've grown out of trance almost completely, that song still sticks with me as being one of my favorite, at least from the producer at the specific time it was released. Never really liked anything else he did. Alot of it actually sounded a bit...comformist.

I like most of his works even if the latest ones haven't impressed me nearly as much as his earlier productions and remixes. His artist album Chronoscale is a wonderful combination of driving trance and ambient soundscapes, the unnecessary radio edits on the bonus remix disc could have been replaced with full mixes of something else tho.

Mirco has the most gorgeous pads in his tracks. I've long envyed them. Voller Sterne is probably my favorite track of all time and every track he comes out with just gets better. I like how he isn't inindated with releases every week but rather a select few projects throughout the year.

A large inspiration of mine

To be honest I think he's only a few steps over Above and Beyond as far as fluffy, cookie cutter trance goes. He's come out with some nice stuff though.

mirco & ronski are a solid combo

Sonorous - Second Sun (MDG Mix)

One of the best uplifting tracks made. nowhere near fluffy.

MdG's album is the one of the best trance albums that has been released in a while,

After Chronoscale things have gone downhill with him just like the rest of the Euphonic crew, sadly. Before that he did some superb stuff though, and Epic Monolith always brings a smile to my face when I hear it.

Mirco tends to come and go, right now he's gone but look for him to pop up again if history holds true.

you think so? i think that his recent mix of Asarja is great. sure not in the same range as Epic monolith but still above average stuff. very energetic, driving stuff, even the break is quite smartly done. well produced at least. i really like majority of his stuff, especially everything from Chronoscale.

Voller Sterne (Original Mix) is a tune and a half

Mirco is talented, but I've been consistently disappointed with his declining quality since Epic Monolith kicked off his high-profile status. I didn't particularly like Chronoscale.

Asarja was just... fluff.

Voller Sterne (Original Mix) is the shit

Mirco de Govia has done really outstanding productions such as Voller Sterne (Nice remix by Super8), The whole Chronoscale-album was stunning with great productions. He has also managed to create one of my favourite tunes so far this year even though it's a little forgotten since it was released in the end of Janury begininning of February together with Ronski Speed called Asarja. Both remixes are stunning, Im looking forward to hear alot more from Mirco de Govia, I do think that he needs to produce new stuff - You can never produce to many tunes.

I Epic Monolith!

Mirco has his own unique recognisable style, which I think is something that should be admired.

Totally agree. This track still sends shivers down my spine.

I also love Final emotion and Voller Sterne. One of the most consistent producers around IMO.

Sorry for bumping a dead topic, but...

Chronoscale is amazing! It's right up there with Chicane's albums and BT's ESCM. Absolutely one of the best trance albums from the latest years, if not one of the all-time best.

Epic Monolith is a great trancer. I've not kept up with him though.

I'm glad that you liked it

Mirco de Govia is one of my favourites! I like his style a lot. It seems very emotional to me but also very energetic in a way. Voller Sterne is my absolutely favourite track! Hope there will be many many releases in the future...

Epic Monolith is in indeed the shizzle

Different start can make for some interesting, but often tricky, transitions
