Replicant Redux (a dark progressive / techtrance mix)

Consider this mix a tribute to the dark futuristic mood of tech noir, an artistic style of literature and film best known from the movie Blade Runner. Once again, this is the product of many months of track selection and conceptual germination. The flow of the set is programmed like a descent, from the synthetic progressive grooves that nonchalantly begin the tale, through increasingly mechanical techtrance sounds, into the deepest realms of richly cinematic psychedelic techno. A trio of increasingly atmospheric tracks lead the mix to a thoughtful conclusion.

clever of you to pay homage with the vangelis track at the end

"Just Like Breathing" is a heavy techtrance tune that samples the main theme, to great effect

Last bump... is it the distribution method that is the cause of disinterest here or what?

Network firewall prevents me downloading using torrents. Otherwise would love to give it a listen.

I like the style, except for those three downtempo tracks at the end. They do not really fit in, or at least I don't really like it. Not that they're not good tracks, but still.

I haven't listened to the mix in too much detail yet, hopefully I will have the opportunity to do so on Sunday. I'll get back to you when I do, of course.

Fair enough. It would take about 2 minutes at bittorrent.com to get set up. The reason I'm using this medium is so that the bandwidth doesn't cost me a penny... and it allows me to distribute sets in high quality mp3 (256k) as well as full CD quality for that matter...

More comments welcome... remember it's a conceptual mix - that's why those downtempo tracks are there
