Dilema: New Laptop, XBOX or save the cash?
Oh.. ive just finished my exams.. woohoo, but am getting really bored now as everyone else has still got exams and ive got 2 weeks to kill..
Anyway.. my laptop has been pretty knackered for a while now.. the battery has gone dead, the screen is broken and its just generably unuseable. Ive had it for 4 years... but its now past its sell by date.
The thing is.. laptops cost like �1000 which is a lot of money, and although i could do with a new one i also wouldnt mind an xbox. My parents never let me buy a games console cos they thought it would affect my exams... and theyre probably right! but now i never have to sit an exam again.. it sounds like a good idea, plus its �800 cheaper..
On the other hand i could always save the money.. I wanna go on holiday this year and while i can do both, perhaps i can go somewhere better with the money.. also theres the cost of getting my own place with my girlfriend, which also wont be cheap..
HELP!!
Save the money.
Wait until the (around) Thanksgiving release of the X-Box 360, the next generation X-Box.

I cant afford vinyls anymore,so this is probably the next best option.
Honestly save the money Xbox not worth the investment so is a computer, jsut use a old one.

If you're like 21 or older and you're debating wasting your money on some video games, or saving it or purchasing something useful like a laptop you need to stop right now and get over the video games.

laptop, you can take it on trips and shit, portable internet wherever u go!
Save the money. Xbox is a waste and laptops are nice to have but completely unnecessary unless you're a traveling businessman. If you still decide to get laptops, I would suggest checking out deal sites like gotapex.com, slickdeals.net and wait for the best prices.

How come you guys are all against the Xbox? ive played on my bros and my mates and really enjoy it!! plus i think the idea of playing friends in another part of the uk, or in europe is fantastic...
Am slightly pushed away from the laptop idea now. Also thinking that when i get into a job (eventually) i maybe given one..

i'd go with the video game system (I prefer the PS2 tho, but watever floats ur boat)
i'm 21, and i rarely get to play my ps2 but i'm still glad I have it since I like to enjoy games occasionally when i have the time.
go for it, u'll proly enjoy it more than a laptop

yeah my folks dont have any say in what i buy or dont buy now!!!!
My girlfriend does that for me instead.. although shes all for me getting some kind of games console.
Im thinking that if i can get a lap top and a xbox for a grand then ill get the best of both worlds!!! Although the holiday would have to be bognor regis or something....
Or should i wait for the xbox 360.. it looks pretty good..
Just use your bro xbox and spend the rest on a holiday with mates or g/f.
Too many consoles due out at the minute to be thinking of buying an outdated one.
Plus I have a general dislike for laptops so i'm biased against them anyway.
