dumbass question: Can I record livestreams via Ableton Live?
I was just wondering. It must be possible, probaby really easily, but how can I rout the real-player output or something else to a live audio track? Or isnt it possible?
Thx in advance.
better cards have a "Record what u hear" function :P
but yours prolly not...
anyway there was a program I heard of, I believe it was called Virtual Audio cable or something like that...try to search for it...it basically makes "new device" for recording from that is a loopback from your soundcard output
yes, i know that there are these freeware programms that record everything that gets out, but I was curious if there's a way in live.
(??)
thx a lot. but i know these. i just wanted to ask if there is a way in live. should be, because it's no problem to record audio through the input of the soundcard. the question is, if there's a way to route the output of some software to live.
but it's not that important, was just wondering while having nothing to do![]()

yes you CAN record with Ableton, infact thats all i use. all you have to do is enable the record button in an audio channel. turn off the volume (note turn down, but press the little speaker to turn it all off). when doing this, make sure your line in is turned up. at least on my pc, you can configure all that in the main volume controls.
please note: im probably wrong...
