TA anthem?

this has been done before, in 2003 to be precise.. but unfortunately there was a lack of interest back then, so the whole thing was called off.

however, a lot of new producers have emerged since then, so i was wondering if we should give it another try..

who would be interested in producing an official TrancEaddict anthem?

thoughts/ideas?

last time it was a competition.. first stage: writing a melody, second stage: producing a track with the melody that Swamper liked most.

i started producing an anthem a few months ago, but never really finished it, altough i still have some ideas for an anthem,

I suppose getting Swamper to say "yes i will pick a melody this time" would be your first objective.

Last time things got cancelled because Swamper lost the intrest or something like that.

Well I don't think he liked any of the melodies last time.

Maybe if we wrote better melodies?

he did like some of them, but there wasn't really any melody that stood out from the rest. + not that many ppl submitted one, so there weren't many melodies to choose from.

@ PDM: last time around, it was a competition, yeah (see first post). it looked like the most logical way to go.. if you have a better idea, let's hear it.. that was kind of the point of this thread, hehe

i made some anthem style tracks with awsome melodies but they are all hard dance/trance style with breakbeats,hard kikcs and reversed basses !!! WOOT!! :P anyways..i'm gonna try a trancy one then..

or how about creating a new anthem / year? so it'd be like TA Anthem 2005 then 2006 etc etc. so TA wouldn't have to stick with one track / producer? so mayby a melodic track one year, a proggier one the next..

is it a good idea?

ummm.. can't everyone make their own melody they want, and the judges/swamper selects the best finished track? or that you can select a melody from a set range (3-4) of melodies that are entered?

Maybe the easiest way to go about this would probably be if everyone submits a completed work ... then we vote by poll.
