Posted by narcism on May-24-2005 01:44:

does anybody else think this is a piss poor line up?
I realise slinky has never been a massive night like other future events, but two internationals only

Posted by Aesthetic on May-24-2005 01:53:

yeah, slinky is renowned for under-delivering the goodz mostly

Posted by batemanscott on May-24-2005 02:04:

I think you both missed the part where it says "Papa Smurf"!

id much prefer to see vanity smurf, just too keep in with the nick name

The lineup and looks like a Melt Entertainment event! (Launch etc) And cuz its held at QBH as well, the muzzas love it!
The only room with a decent lineup is the techno/electro room!

bwahhaaaaaaaaaaa

yeah line-up pretty crapola really. not interested

Posted by tachyon on May-24-2005 02:42:

i doubt fergie would play a tek set with all the supporting acts playing trance/hard trance..

might up for a mission around the joint though.. HEHEHE!

Posted by vitamin v on May-24-2005 02:48:

Somehow, G, I dont think you will be up for it after Howells

Sorry, Steve!! Have exams on .... won't be able to make it ...

*yikes*

oh god, exams are soon

Smiling Frog

What's wrong with Papa and Muzzas?? LOL

Least they know how to ROCK HARD!!!!

True, they could have put alot more effort with the international acts though. Who cares when u got Papa and Hellraiser hahahhaha

Posted by Heidi_Fleiss on May-24-2005 03:57:

Virginia, Melt Entertainment has split...Not the same local lineup as the old days...Try Majik

"Crapola" - Go get f#cked. Do you see us banging hard trance fans dissing fairy trance? No. Diversity makes the world go round. It's d.ickheads like you that give the Melbourne Trance scene a bad name....

Papa is good at what he does. He is there for a reason, because he can pull in the masses. He is a crowd pleaser. If you have a problem, take it up with Mark James..I'm sure he'll stick around and listen to your sentiments regarding his 'shitful' taste..

LET'S GO RICHIE BRAIC AND HELLRAISERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !

p.s - I'm sure Spunky Strangis will keep the fluffies happy...At least he's slightly more versatile than most trance djs going around *cough*

people with taste
and people who go to events to see the acts, not just go to a "rave" to get hammered and couldnt give two shits about whose playing.

Satan (eek!)

Who are you to say what we go there for? Do you have ESP?

Don't generalise, and DON'T be ignorant.

Taste is 'subjective', you foolish boy.

Posted by sezzy on May-24-2005 04:09:

geez take a chill pill heidi. i just don't think the line-up for slinky is as good as they used to be. big deal. and for you information, i actually luv hard-trance

Thanks for the education mate on the scene.. You know so much..

Posted by sLiCk_NiCk on May-24-2005 04:30:

oOo bitch fights everywhere

the flea loves flaring up when papa comes into the equation

this is gonna be fun

as for slinky. local lineup not my cup of tea. wouldnt mind seeing a tech set from fergie but with mass muzza's and a mixer of phat pants in the arena, somehow i dont think thats possible.

calm down girls, wheres the love

Posted by tachyon on May-24-2005 04:59:

[sidetracking attempt]
hey nikko whats going on dude?! when's our next outing? hehe you should come to sydney with us!

we'll have it large at howells i think
[/sidetracking attempt]

as for the b1tchf1ght .... Virginia got my vote!

Posted by sLiCk_NiCk on May-24-2005 05:12:

hehe whens the sydney trip this weekend?

howells will be awesome. it will be as good if not better then the night it was just us to at holden

Posted by AnitA on May-24-2005 05:18:

Behold, my arse.

What's the big faken deal really? If you don't like the lineup at Slinky, then don't go. Ofcourse it isn't the best lineup, we're in Australia ofcourse and aren't blessed with frequent crazy parties and top djs like they have in Europe or Canada and the States.

"people with taste
and people who go to events to see the acts, not just go to a "rave" to get hammered and couldnt give two shits about whose playing."

How can you generalise and point the finger at who goes to these events to get 'hammered'?? Some go for the djs, others to get off their rocker. Who cares really? Go hard or go home!

Posted by batemanscott on May-24-2005 05:37:

i like this thread!

Posted by Heidi_Fleiss on May-24-2005 05:40:

Yeah Virginia, i know 'much' more than you, apparently

lol Nikko, it's not right to slag a DJ. If you don't like the style, you don't like it. Clearly he's doing something right though, given how successful his nights are.

Excuse the politically correct comments, but it's really unnecessary.
