tiesto essentialmix @ disneyland in paris
i don't know if anyone heard this, didn't pull any threads up on this, but has anyone heard this?
ok, i've never been a tiesto fan, first mixed cd i heard of his i listened for a bit and killed it half way. now, he was voted #1 two years in a row and i come across his essential mix and figure, what the hell.. i'll give it a listen... had to be the most amateur sounding mix i've ever heard in my life... each mix was trainwreck after trainwreck after trainwreck, and i am NOT even exaggerating. i mean BAD trainwrecks, ones that he doesn't even care to correct and they are just horrible. really, despite that i don't like him or his music, his skills are so horrible. my winamp could mix better. anyone that voted for him on djmags top 100 should drown in a pool of tiesto's cheese...
You're one of the very few Tits that has said something intelligent about omgtiestorrrrrr
Read this post and then listened to the EM and then thought....
hum he doesn't know what a trainwreck actaully is.
uhm... ok without getting into semantics with you, basically horrible mixing, not sure if you mix or not, don't know how much of it you listened to, don't know if you're just blinded by your insatiable love of tiestos hairy twins, but basically... even if he had an excuse to be this bad, (left his headphones at home and had to mix using the vu meters, for example) how could this have been labeled essential, should have been labeled fertilizer...

lol.. sorry.. didn't mean to insult... just got the impression you were saying that he didn't mess up, but lets say this: if i ever went off beat like that in front of even a room of 10 people, my face would be redder than tiesto's mom's monthly vaginal discharge. maybe the speeds were matched, but the beats were lined up pretty badly on a few of them... some serious galloping and distinct double beats.. but i still think thats giving him too much credit, he's a HUGE dj... someone with his history and credentials should be way better than that... its like saying a basketball player that dunks the ball into the wrong basket made a little mistake... you gotta have your head lodged way up there to make these types of mistakes when you're supposed to be one of the best at what you do
Ewwwww

)
imo he shouldnt do all those stupid looping tricks (traffic repeating the synth sound for 30 seconds before the climax), it is sooooo annoying, and he did a few more but i cant recall them

aite.. well everyone, lets make it a point to vote this year... i will be so pissed if tiesto is in the top 10 again... SPREAD THE WORD!!!
top 10? of course he is going to be #1 this year
The mixing is off yes. How is this different for tiesto?
The mixing was always of for him back in 99-2001 when everyone was sucking his dick.
But tiesto always has the track selection and timing. The flows of his sets have not changed, this is why everyone still likes him.
This is why armin will not be #1.
Because at the end of the day, 90% of the people seeing him dont give one shit about his mixes.

IF i do vote this year these will be my votes.
1. John O'Callaghan
2. Jon O'Bir
3. Carl Cox
4. Mauro Picotto
5. Paul Van Dyk
Based on what i have seen and heard.
yeah... its sad that people will still support tiesto even though he's riding is previous success into the ground, i see those people perpetuating electronica into the commercial wake of what hiphop has become. the only good thing to come out of holland that i can think of is sanderK, avb (even though i don't really dig his choons, i got respect for him), those funky little shoes, and good cheese. tiestos citizenship should be revoked.

If you've ever heard tiesto live, any one who knows how to properly mix two songs together can immediately tell his beatmatching is absolutely terrible. That's not including his horrible phrase matching. I have to give him credit though...his song selection can be quite good at times, but it gets completely and utterly destroyed with his blatant disregard of good technical mixing.
I agree with byakko in that there's way too much tiesto dick sucking around the world. It is because of this that he probably won't concede the "#1" position any time soon.
God, please... enough of these retarded "We hate Tisto" topics
It's ok to not like a dj, but what the hell makes you so ornery to go set up a topic bashing him. I, for one am a huge Tisto fan, and a near full-on hater of PvD, but i dare you to search and find ONE TOPIC that i bashed PvD in. GET THE FUCK OVER IT
By the way, i won't be voting him #1 this year because i don't feel he deserves it, there are so many more djs innovating music that he can't come close to them. I feel he does still belong in the top ten, but not in the top 3. See, I'm human. I'm not a n00b like everyone thinks Tisto fans are!!!
end of rant

thank god, people think the same as me!
me n my bro have bin bitchin bout this for years and ive always stood by the fact tiesto is poor at mixing. i cant help but think if he didnt have so many quality productions under his name he would not be no1!
it would make my year if armin or PVD made no1 this year i know who i am voting for....
