Hey I just got word from the Gem Entertainment crew that Danny Tenaglia is playing tonight Tuesday May 24 at Century Room a small and intimate club! This is a special night for sure as Danny never plays small rooms in Toronto!!!

Hmmm...still, 10 bucks. Cheap as hell to hear a legand spin. Might have to iron the ole dress shirt and dust off the blue suede shoes.

well not shirt and tie but no running shoes for sure at least that's how it is on the weekend.

If that's the case i'm thinking he will also opt to play more classic house (vocal / diva / disco / funkified / whatever you wanna call it ) and drop less of the dirty stuff that i'm really in the mood for.

Might have to give it a miss on those grounds...

Still...i'm pretty tempted with that cover price. I'll see how it goes...

if i were a dj, i just spun 14 hours, i would want to go and hang out with fans but not just spin for whatever amount of time again. i would just shoot the shit with all the promoters and such.

i dont think danny is much of a public mingler. He'll probably be playing... the guy is a machine.

He may be a bitchy diva but he does love his music which is why he plays for such a long time unlike certain "big" DJs i can think of who take their money and run after a 3 hour set.

You don't think so? When I saw him @ Boa he was adamant about coming out into the crowd and mingling (while he was spinning)... and he enjoyed that from what I saw...

WHAT?!?!?!?! NO WAY man, he is SUCH a public mingler...he'll just let a longer track play and then come down...but you always see him go back up and get the next one ready!!! And what makes you think he is a bitchy diva? You prolly have way more experience than me (I've only been to 2 of his events) and after last night, I having doubts about my DJ God!!!

honestly id much rather hear him play a set than mingle. I dont really know much about the guy, or who he is as a person, and honestly i dont care.

I've heard he is amazing behind the decks, and thats why im gonna show up. I wouldnt even know what to say to the guy, except the usual "hello, how are you", which i would say to anybody else.

its all about the music, hopefully he sticks with that.
