Hey. Nice track. Truthfully, it doesnt really need any mastering. It does however need a little bit better mixdown. Your synths are way too loud compared to your percussion. Try to get them to be similar volumes. While I could run this through companders to give you the mastered copies, youll be disappointed because the quality wont be any better, in fact itll be worse without a proper mixdown. Turn the synths down (mostly the supersaw-like sound) and put it up again and I'll master it for ya .

Cheers,
Zac

what do u mean it doesnt need mastering ??
just because it sounds good on ur speakers means that its mixed nicely not that its mastered

as for bassbomber, i couldnt listen to the track now , i will tomorrow, but

well i dont tink anyone will master an mp3 track first of all
it should be .wav or a dat file
and in order to master it u gotta submit it in stereo L and stereo R

anways i am starting a business (have been doing it unofficialy for a bit) regarding production services, mixing and mastering
so contact me on msn if ya want

peace

Isn't this a tad elitist? Every half-decent mastering app and plugin supports interleaved files.

Of course you're right about the MP3s... trying to master a track after any kind of lossy compression is simply a waste of time. Master the wave file, THEN encode it to mp3.

and if it sounds good, why does it need mastering at all?

wtf is a .dat file?
and why it should be submitted in separate files? any decent audio editor can split the interleaved file in two separate tracks .... not that it's reccomended anyway.

Hey. Lol, if you didnt listen to the track how can u know what you are talking about :P? If you re-read my post, youll see that I said it wasnt mixed down properly and that to master it, it first has to be mixed down properly. As for my comment regarding it not needing any mastering, that would go for it being not too bad for goinon digital mediums (CDs). However, I do know it still needs to be mastered, esepecially for vinyl which is why I still offered . My offer stands and its free and I'll work with MP3s.

Cheers,
Zac

you can also submit wav files with yousendit, it allows 1gb so that wouldnt be a problem

Hey. I have posted two mastered versions. The first has been mastered first on a pair of monitors then on hi-fi woofers/tweets then broadcasting on FM. Basicly you should be able to play this on any medium (minus vinyl) and have it sound as good as it can. The second is just a proof master . RIAA equailizatuion has been applied to it so it should be ready for vinyl as well.

Master

Vinyl Master
