(yes its a relationship thread, the CORe needs one every so often anyway...)

right well my girlfriend of 4 months was ignoring me the week before last, obviously something was up but she wouldn't reply to my texts/talk to me on msn/pick up the phone... she finally got back to me last week saying that it's nothing to do with me, but she doesn't wanna have this conversation over texts (i was thinking she was gonna dump me, which would just completely suck after all i've gone thru to make this relationship work)

so tonight i go out leaving my phone behind, get back and there's a couple of missed calls on my fone (thinking ah shit she wanted to dump me over the phone)... talking to her later on MSN turns out she wanted to know if she could come over for a few hours tonight, which completely suprised me after wondering if i'd actually see her again

i was just joking about not picking up the fone, sayin that i wasnt expecting to hear from her after the last couple of weeks, so was really suprised to know she could have come over for a bit... and outta the blue i got the response:

a lot to read yeah, but i appreciate relationship threads to read when i'm bored! so any advice going on what i can do? want to try my best to keep it going, cuz she's a damn nice girl...

i got a little excited there, sorry. i get really annoyed when guy friends (well guys in general) tell me stories about their stupid girlfriends acting like bitches. my good friend is going through something similiar and i tell him every time he bitches that she is showing all the signs of a cheater and she's a fucking bitch to him and i have to hang up with him cuz i can't hear it any more....

Good rule of thumb.... when a woman says "we need to talk" it isn't good. Rather then be bothered listening to what they have to say I just break it off with them immediately following the "need to talk" shit.

Next time you talk to her let her know in no uncertain terms that you're feeling like you're getting screwed over. Say you just want clarity. Tell her that if she doesn't have feelings fo you anymore then that's fine and breaking up is the right thing to do*... but being completely cold without telling you what's wrong is selfish.

*Bring the possibility of breaking up just like this, suddenly, and completely casually like it's no big deal. You have nothing to lose cos if she wants to break up with you she will anyway and at least this way YOU have the upper hand. SUre you can delay an inevitable break up for a while, but that's just extending the pain and wasting eeryone's time. Bringing it up first, and in a frank and casual manner is your best chance (even though the chance is small) to actually get some fire back in your relationship... It shows guts and strength both qualities that women tend to admire... that'd be my approach anyway.
