Another how make this sound thread!

Hi guys,

Soz, fraid it's another one of those!

Firstly this isn't trance but I wanna use the sound in a trance track.
Ok, from this sample it sounds like a saw based pad, little bit of 'pluck' from the envelopes A=0 D=30 S=80 R=5 and obviously sidechain compression when the beat kicks in, but when I do this it 'just don't sound right'! What am I missing?
I'd like to use the ES2 in Logic to recreate this although I also have V station and a couple of other synths, maybe imposcar would do the job?

Sample here,

Thanks in advance

Ppk

The link has been truncated by the website

First half:

and then paste this directly afterwards, no space

That should do it

Hey. That sound is a mix of two saw wave forms and a sqaure form. The saws are slightly detuned (in opposite directions) and then the sqaure is on the bottom (and quieter and bassier) for fattness. Shouldnt be too ahrd for you to recreate .

Cheers,
Zac

I'd say that it's two squares that are pulse wave modulated..

Well that square wave underneath seems to have done the trick, alot closer to what I was looking for, so thanks for that!

Also gonna have a look at the pulse wave thang too,

I'll keep ya posted,
