Liking it, a few odd drums in there, but very good to me.

PSY-T - PSY-KIK???

Any good?

Good one, enjoying it a lot now!
Nice squelchy acidline, cool transitions. I love the percussion, except for the hihats maybe, try using another sound, or layer them at least so that they sound fuller (and less hissing).
Wonderful sweeps on the acidline, makes it so damn trippy. Maybe it could get a little more dominant in the beginning. 5:00 is a great highlight of the track, reminds me a lot of some oldschool acid trance tunes. Then at 6:30 you bring it all back with full force. Blasting! All the LFO stuff makes me almost freak out. You can be very happy with this, its exactly what I want. Congrats

It'll sound good at +3.

I think you should call it, Rancor's Delight.
I have the image of SW Rancor doing a dance to this tune.

On second thought, call it 'Freelancer'. The tune would fit well in a space sim.

Listening to it now...

Intro interesting. Some growling sub frequencies going on there.

2.20... drops down in intensity for a bit. Leads into some nice restrained acid lines.

3.45.. goes on.. starting to loose interest a bit... Theres some room and time here for some other elements I think

5.00.. acid line sounds too echoey or something. Feels like the bassline is still dominating when the acid should be at the forefront.

6.00 .. nice percs. They need some better eqing, but I'm feeling the vibe your creating with them.

7.00.. its on for young and old! Sounds like blissful acid chaos but its a bit muddy at times. You gotta eq this better cos it would be a stormer for sure if the production was a bit better.

really liking this derek

intro is very nice lead into the really pumping kick n bass. acid sounds mental which is always a good thing hehe. Percs give it a nice funky feel which works well as a contrast to the bassline. It all has a wikked flow to it and has great atmosphere which can be very hard to create successfully in a track like this, they often sound a bit too minimal but not with this track.

Overall the mastering is spot on too. Levels all sound great to me.

Congratz mate love it, keep up the good work.

Very unique intro. Almost has a mediterranean feel.

I like how the strings? come in lightly at around 4:15, good up of intensity.

5:00 I looooooooooove the acid line. It finally stands out, especially as it had been the background. It doesn't produce a hard, hard acid feel because of the sweeping string in the background. So, of course, I can handle that!

6:07. SPORTIC DRUM. Bring that out, throughout the whole track, especially since everything is becoming so chaotic. That drum reminded me a bit of Squarepusher. I would have liked to hear it at 7:00 and and on. It would make everyone lose all control I swear I heard that drum throughout the background, just barely. Maybe not? Then it comes again around 8:00 ish. Let it do it's work, I love it, very improv-ish and I think it would create an even more intense layer.

7 min mark is the stuff of Gods.

Now I can tell a definate difference in acid house vs acid trance, my main like being the house. I was steering away from the acid trance in Music Discussion because those tracks were a bit druggish. This is more light imo. Your a guy, I don't know if you'll like that last comment or not. Either way, ace! I'm keeping these.

The bit crushed drum is cool.

The acid is very nice. Good work with that.

Very good energy management throughout. This is the kind of track that just makes me want to dance.

Awesome work, bro. Like the last time, your 303 emulation is awesomely awesome and the bitcrusher used suits the track well. The fact that it gradually picks up momentum, too, really draws me to the track. It's how trance should be made, methinks.

As for the track name, Psychedelic Tea comes to mind.

thanks

p.s your avatar/sig/status reminds me of a 303 emulator i had about 5 years ago... it was called rubberduck

Like it Derek!

I suggest Psy T - Cockblock as the tune title

Posted by sykadelik on May-27-2005 12:58:

Great track, how about naming it after a type of acid.

Psy T - Sulphuric
or
Psy T - Hydrochloric

i love the way your track builds up.. it starts so subtle and minimal, but then it bursts out into a frenzy.. wicked stuff

there seems to be a lack of bass, though.. but that could be due to the mp3 quality.

about the track title.. dunno. the images i get while listening to your track are space war related. maybe you ought to call it Multidimensional Conflict or something, hehe

Hey,
Listening ... Intro sounds like a soundtrack! I liked a lot the athmosphere u created on this one, I dont find hissy the Hats, actually, they sound pretty good to me. This is not my style at all so I dont know what to critiquise, plus sounds pretty good, good worik man .
Kopi =o.

Good job on making a very interesting and well-produced (as far as my untrained ears can judge on that matter) track in a genre I normally do not listen to that much, and which I do not enjoy very much either.

You pulled off the buildup very well.. I can see people more into this genre going nuts over it

Keep up the good work!

i have a 2 hour set that's decent enough, though its new school stuff, almost all post 2004 productions, and based on your reaction to haak's set, im not sure how'd you take it.

so prolly sometime next month, or i'll maybe record another set, of more oldschool stuff

i love the mystical feel at the beginning...mediterranian...i 'spose, i was thinking a bit more...medieval. then the kicks just hits and it starts to fit together nicely. i love that...when the track is just slowly building up (the squelchy strings in the backround), your just anticipating the rest of the track. the acid line is brought in quite nicely aswell. imo it has a bit of a goa feel to it as well. the only thing i could bring up is that eventually, when the track is at its peak, it almost, very subtly, seems like all the elements clash just a bit. try compressing the hi/snare/tom/etc percussion, and mabye fatten up that kick drum. the acid bit could get beefend up a bit aswell. but a definate good effort overall. keep it up mate, good stuff
