shipping my techs

Hey guys, long time no post.

I'm thinking of shipping my techs in the boxes that they originally came in. I still have the styrofoam pieces and all and I tried taking the platter off and putting it back in the box and it seemed to work OK...

is this a terrible idea? am I better off using my shitty odyssey coffin that weighs like 50 pounds by itself?

any tips on shipping in the original boxes?

thanks

I have shipped my pair across country (UPS Ground) using original boxes and styrofoam. You should be fine.

The original boxes are shipping intended you'll be fine

But you may want to consider double boxing it if you're really scared and you know the shipping companies aren't always careful with the boxes.

mine actually got shipped from japan in the orginal boxes :P no problems.

the original boxes were made to ship them
don't bother with cases or coffins, too heavy and they may wind up costing you more because of the weight

just 1 more question... you know that piece of cardboard with the arrow engraved into it? (it has 2 pieces of styrofoam on the underside attached to it) Does that go on top or on the bottom? I'm assuming it goes on top.

Also when shipping with the boxes do I have to put the plastic and the extra small pieces of cardboard back on? I'm not sure where those small pieces go.

It goes on top with the arrow pointing forward I believe.

Plastic is not needed. I am not sure which cardboard you are talking about, but if it is easy to put use then I would do it.
