Boogie Down was originally:
KRS-One
Ms. Melody (krs's ex wife)
D-Nice (beatbox)
Scott LaRock (producer/discovered krs in homeless shelter and was later murdered)
Kenny Parker (krs's brother and hypeman)

D-Square joined as producer later on

Wow.. lol I had no clue there were that many characters. My fave will forever be Tribe. If anyone can give me anything more funky fresh than Tribe Called Quest - Oh My God, maybe it shall change.

Any recommendations?

Believe it or not that song was stuck in my head all last weekend. Oddly enough, right along with it was....

My, my, my, my music hits me, so strong.
Makes me say, "oh, My Lord
thank you, for blessing me
with a mind to rhyme and two hot feet."
It feels good when you know you're down.
A superdope homeboy from the Oaktown,
and I'm known as such.
And this is a beat
You can't touch

Hey, Tiesto or Tek.. can you recommend anything similar to

Slick Rick - Impress the kid
Skee-lo - I wish
Q-tip - breathe and stop..

The light, funky, hip hop bouncy stuff...

I remember at around 5 yrs old, staring at his picture hours upon hours, constantly listening to his CD. I still like it, to this day.

Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance go rush to the speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly when I play a dope melody
Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it you better gain weight
You better hit bull's eye the kid don't play
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
