Ohio TAs: Texas TA coming up in June

Hey guys,

Much respect to you first off. Good luck on getting the sticky status.

I'm going up to Cincinnati and can go out on Thursday June 16th and Friday the 17th. I don't want to see baseball with everyone else and I'd like to hear some good music.

a) Anyone know a place that would book me to play either night? I can play for free since the job is paying flight and all.

b) If no one is booking, what would be cool to do? I'm thinking if the group takes off, I can grab a cab or something. I'll be staying across the river at the Radisson.

Any help?

yes me toooooo, sorry but i don't know cincy at all... haven't been there in AGES (i think it was about 8 years ago we went to king's island there) and as far as ohio TA's go, there is a list of us but it seems other than me and tuis holdin it down in cleveland and columbus, none of the others make it out (or just don't tell us) except for the promoters of course (phuturephysix / headrushmusic) which are both out of cleveland...

in fact i'm not sure there are any OHTA's that have posted from cincy yet. i would suggest checking other boards such as clubplanet.com and look for cincy events. another thing you can do is look in the phonebook or online for vinyl shops in the cincy area, as they will usually always have flyers in the store for local events. sorry we can't help you out any more than that bud but i'm not really sure what the scene is like there or if there are any weeklies

thanks for the help mate. i was supposed to go to Cooper's for the monthly there to hang out with andy james (techno), but that fell through since i'm leaving saturday : (

i will check those sites out and see what's going on. seriously though, you taking the time to do that means a lot.

Andy James's from Cleveland he's a nice guy

Otherwise you may want to keep an eye on the PB-Cle list .... http://hyperreal.org/raves/pb-cle/rom/ Unfortunately there's not much around these times apparently

Columbus does tend to be a bit more busy till 1 year ago and Dayton used to have a hopping rave scene but that slipped 2 years ago. Seems like Cleveland is going down too. Man I see a pattern

I do know there's some TAs down there but they don't seem too busy :S

Yeah, he's a top notch guy. We flew him down to play one of our shows and he became family to us. Hopefully we can bring him down again soon.

Hopefully something turns up. I'd hate to hang out with all the lameasses on the trip.
