Fishing Charters

So ive been throwing around this idea for awhile now. Ive always wanted to go on a deep sea fishing charter for sharks. The season starts in June. What do you say we get about 6 people who really want to do this book something for June. Ive checked a few diffrent sites and the whole days trip is about $1,100. They run them from Montauk bay in Long Island. Now if we get 6 people the cost would be about $183 a person.....not so bad!!! All you have to bring is weather gear (for rain) and whatever your eating that day. So who would be down for this??? I would be more than willing to set eveyrthing else up is you guys are serious.

I would give it some thought, but definitely not in June though.

Cool.....I think Joey (bitchboy) would be down also. Gotta talk to him about it. We need three more people.

Vlad: June is the best time to go for sharks.

I've never gone fishing in my life. But I always wanted to do this. Not saying I'm down... but just saying it sounds AWESOME. Have fun, whoever goes... !

Few things in this world can compare to the feeling of being out in the ocean, surrounded by nothing but water for as far as the eye can see. It's a beautiful solitude on a clear and sunny day.

Are you one of those Allegheny River "rats" that I've heard about?

Posted by Vlad on May-29-2005 16:54:

Brian, if you really want a sick shark fishing experience, lets go to Maine.

New England is nice, but

Ocean City, MD
Cape Hatteras, NC
Anywhere in South Florida

owns it for sharks, especially the tasty Mako.

I used to fish for sharks in Destine Florida from piers. Me and a bunch of army guys used to chum right off the pier...totally illegal!!! But one night we seen a 10 foot mako swim by....it was some crazy shit.

Imagine swimming a hundred or so yards from a boat (in the Ocean) and then seeing one of those go by!

I would have said my last prayers and kissed my ass goodbye.

When people ask "If you could choose the way you are going to die, what would you choose?" I say "I want to be eaten by a shark." Is that weird? And I'm dead serious too. Either eaten by a shark or my parachute fails while sky diving.

Shark fishing in Maine - I grew up there... also good fishing for tuna, striper, cod, etc... If you want good fishing for sharks (and other big-game fish) I always found the best luck out at Jeffries Ledge. It's a hike, but it is usually worth the trip. Good luck.
