Godskitchen Tiesto and Deepdish

I dont know how many of you were there but Sunday night at ICE was absolutely the best event i have ever been too in a very long time if not actually one of the best events ever! the crowd, vibe and music was absolutley mind blowing. I just want to say thanks to Godskitchen, ICE and the artists for helping make Sunday night history!

Pay 75$ to see Tiestor...yeah right.

Posted by Hypersky on May-31-2005 22:45:

$75 is a bit steep.

Posted by Shafer8 on May-31-2005 22:46:

Yes but if you were there you would have not even though twice about paying the cover to see two of the best acts around! The vibe in the place was everything you could ask for!

Posted by DaveT on May-31-2005 22:51:

It was $150 at the door apparently!!

And Tiesto was supposed to stop at 6am, but something happened which kept him going until 8:30am...heheh

Dave

Yeah I know LOL! Unbeleivable! Also by 5 AM every single stripper was in town to already add to the 50/50 ratio of men VS women which brought it to a whole new level. That night is KING in my books as not only did we get an extended set but the music that was playing was not the usual set.

Once again he proved why he is the KING of EDM!

Posted by sheffy on May-31-2005 23:25:

It was phenomenal, I had to leave at 7:30 because my legs were seriously giving out (8 hours for Armin the night before, plus DD+T = holy shit ow!). I had never seen Tiesto's energy that high before and I absolutely LOVED it!

Posted by TSG on May-31-2005 23:25:

Someone either just got into the scene or doesn't go out that often. No not you DaveT. $75.00 and $150.00 at the door??? WTF???

I was wondering if any got to use that so-called COMPLIMENTARY ticket we got from GodsChicken on NYE??? Yeah that Tiesto NYE event.

Posted by Shafer8 on May-31-2005 23:27:

Yeah energy beyond the world! I still cant believe it is over.

Haha, yes it was steep pricing but in Vegas I'm not going to let an extra $40 (or whatever) keep me from having a fantastic night. I would have probably lost 10x that in a casino over 8 hours so who the hell cares. It was well worth it, even if it cost more than the "norm."

Tiesto playing for as long as he did sure made it worth our money! Though I guess it's all relative to what you think enjoyment is "worth" (not you specifically, "you" in general).

Posted by ninetyninej on Jun-01-2005 01:55:

ouch 75$ is expensive but DD and Tiesto in one night would rock and if he played till 8:30am I'd say that would get everyone their moneys worth...

Posted by Shafer8 on Jun-01-2005 02:20:

If anyone was there they can back me up by there was really no amount of money that can bring back that same vibe, music, crowd and night!

UNREAL!

I heard Tieto played untill 8 something in the am!!!!
I guess at 6 some random dude went up to Tiesto and gave him 10,000 in cash to play an extra hour!!!!

Posted by sheffy on Jun-01-2005 03:39:

Hahaha I wonder if that's why he was hugging all sorts of people around 6am then, in the DJ booth. Whoever did that, thank you

Make that 8:30, and yeah, that's what happened. Tiesto was supposed to stop at 6am, but at around 5:40am, some dude went up to Tiesto and paid him $10,000 in cash to keep playing.

I was at the door at 9 o clock sharp. THen i found out it was 125 dollars. For that money i can buy tickets for 2 big events in holland. Although I very like Tiesto and Deep dish I decided not to spend money for this.

The day after the ICE event, I saw tiesto in the bathroom of an RNB/HIPHOP after hours club. Pretty funny, had a little chat with him. Nice guy!

Futhermore Las Vegas was pretty disappointing for me. We stayed in the Riviera wich was not very nice when you compare it too mandalay bay or venetian. Futhermore all normal clubs stop at 4 in the morning. THe strip was mostly deserted and even cab drivers not know wich place to go afterhours partying.

Every town has its own heartbeat en pulse you can say I couldnt catch the las vegas pulse. I think 2 days is too short to know the place.

Damm that is crazy!!!

This is total BS. He didn't get any extra money. I was in a dj booth all the time. And.... if you see a dude coming to a djs booth around 5.40 am and giving him money, how would you know it's exactly 10K.
Give me a f**** break.

LOL......Sveta with the smack down. I wish I would have been there to see this....not saying it did happen but who knows....it's Vegas and anything can happen. I do know that if somebody offered Tiesto the money he would have no problem taking it.

Posted by vxman on Jun-01-2005 21:29:

he is not worthed more than $30.

Posted by DaveT on Jun-01-2005 22:18:

Whelp, who I heard it from isn't just anyone in the Vegas scene....soooooooooo......

May not be true, maybe it is... but yeah...it's Vegas, and shit can happen so sly there, it's scary.

Anyhow, Tiesto will be in a place where monsters like to play at some point...

Dave

Posted by sheffy on Jun-02-2005 02:03:

It really was worth it (though my ticket was only $75 ). I probably would have cringed at the $150 ticket cost at the door, but paid it anyway. I still don't get how people in Vegas can complain about $75 for some amazing DJs/music, though. It is just such a miniscule cost compared to everything else there is to do. Just don't think about it; drop the cash and go crazy.

Posted by aaronb on Jun-02-2005 02:27:

The $75 sure didn't seem like much right after dumping $400 at a blackjack table at the Luxor an hour before heading to ICE.

I think that was the fastest $400 I've seen lost with $10 minimum bets. What was it, 45 minutes then *poof*?

$75 for 9 hours of great music and dancing suddenly wasn't so painful.
