Yeah, and that event should be even better than this one.

Get belligerated on the rocks, should be the name of the party.

I don't know if I'd feel completely right about that, but we will be judging!

That's one of the biggest perks to promoting the event.

And, Jamie, you're probably right, but I know there will be some tasty, scantily clad, women at this event.

Estella - Thanks.

I love playing the Church. Sickest booth ever, and it has an incredible vibe/atmosphere. This will only be my second time playing the closing out set though, so that's always fun. Most times I get the opening slot, and unless I promote the shit out of it, myself, you can't expect too much. Ghosh, my business partner, and I had a great turnout for an opening set in February though. I'd say there were over 100 by 9:40ish.

nice one...i hate promoting, even for my own events. it just seems that no one in orange county wants to come. even my fucking friends. they won't pay 5 god damn dollars...i have to find a way to get them in for free which is always a pain in the ass becaus they dont get back to me until its too late. and by then the guestlist is closed...fuck i should just move

Promoting's a bitch, but I have a pretty good network of people that support. I still don't really enjoy it, but it has to be done.

Yeah, teaming up with other crews is always good. Triad Dragons are throwing this one with us, and they are probably the top production company in Colorado. They throw Global Dance Festival at Red Rocks, and the Caffeine Tour (which had 5500 this year, with a mediocre headlining line-up). Should help us out. We also started working with another consistent crew for three events that we're throwing this summer (TwoSum, ThreeSum and Orgy). Should be a good summer, I hope.

To bad the venue (closed ) and money never came together and it was a pipe dream at most (started out as a class project to make a flyer!)... someday maybe....

Still I love the idea!!!!

how did someone rip off your idea? we have fuckin pajama parties every weekend down here

Posted by NiteMer on Jun-01-2005 19:21:

I played a pj party a couple of years back, which was a blast. That's what inspired this one, and I've never seen one at the Church, so it should be pretty sweet.

This event is 18+, and I don't really want any girls under 18 around anyway. That shit will get me in trouble.

I will actually be visiting Denver from June 11th-18th. Shhhh dont jinx me though. Here is the line up of events I will probably be attending. Digweed 6-11-05; Christopher Lawrence 6-16-05; NU NRG 6-17-05. and of course hanging out at Lodo and Laimer Square. Oh of coarse and the 16th Street Mall. Then I will take a quick peak and what some of my old biker boys are doing around those railroad tracks and abandoned industrial buildings. ;-)

Digweed's awesome, but why pay 20+ dollars to see him at Vinyl, when you can go to a two room event, with great locals that you can't see where you live, for $5? I guarantee quality music and mixing.

Sorry, shameless plug for our TwoSum event on the 11th.

It will be off the chain though.
